Good morning everyone! Frank and Deb, the display looks beautiful! I bet you were surprised Deb!

I need to do the laundry today. I have two baskets calling my name.

For all of you having pain today I pray it clears up soon.

My brother isn't talking to me. He wont respond to any of my calls or texting. I wish his wife would have left me out of it. Watch, they will get back together and I'll be shunned. Ugh.

Jim's having some back pain in his lower spine area. I adjusted the hardness of the bed and he's better today. Whew, I was worried about his kidneys.

Have a good day everyone.

Sandy, Sorry to hear your brother is not returning your calls. Happens sometimes.

Vonn, learning to manage what needed done and not get overwhelmed by all I had to do took me a long time, and I still push a little too much. I try doing blocks of time sometimes. This morning, did dishes and some straightening up. Around lunchtime I went to the store to get some things. Now I'm resting before I head to the next project.

Doesn't work for everyone, but that's the way I do it. And it's something that needs adjustment each day based on how I'm feeling.

Weave,

~~~~~~~
LOL, the earlier conversation makes me wish it was Thursday. I'm a huge Grey's Anatomy fan.
Got some painting to do later on. Hubby liked the cards I made for another project so much, he wants to do it for our Christmas cards. Hope I can get this done for him in the next couple of days. (you know, I really need a smiley that's crossing it's fingers - LOL!)
awwwwwwwwww, Cuz... TN stinks, majorly!
I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy... when it's at its worst... (stab stab stab, twang, twinge, ZING) it makes me gasp and tears trickle down... this from the woman who had unmedicated homebirths (yeah, I'm one tough mama, lol!)
I'm so sorry you're one of us unlucky MS'ers who get stuck with it, and I hope yours goes away PRONTO, or at least, doesn't get BAD, or continuous. (I'll be praying HARD for you, dear, for a minimal course!)
the only hope I can offer you is that the nasty bout I had last summer has NOT repeated itself, except for a few poke-pokes here and there, it's mostly subsided (oh thank you thank you, merciful heavens above!)
with that said, I have to agree with Trish who said Baclofen probably won't help with this charming symptom.
only two things work for me... to back the pain off to a bearable or manageable level.
1. Butalbital (generic for Fioricet, a headache medicine with barbiturates, Tylenol, and caffeine)
2. Medical Marijuana - taken in pre-emptive fashion, one small special brownie the day BEFORE - means less stabs the next day.
weird, but it works.
************************************
Vonn, baby steps, baby steps !! do just a little, rest, then a bit more...
if you look at the WHOLE PILE of stuff that needs to get done, you'll end up overwhelmed, and perhaps not willing to tackle it at ALL.
so, leetle teensy baby steps, promise?
oh, and one of my favorite things to do is sit on my porch, and watch my goosies cavort.
Soxie, now you've got me sitting here trying to convince my Polish hubby to get his hindquarters in the kitchen and whip up some pierogies !!
good luck with your project, hope the taste fulfills all your fondest memories, and highest expectations...
remember, practice makes perfect!
Weave, you have the patience of a saint, and I concur with you and everyone else, the daddy-daughter working environment may be a recipe for disaster, and choosing up sides... hope you guys can work it all out amicably... with the least emotional suffering possible.
Sandy, tell the laundry "La la la la, I can't HEAR you!" and then get some earplugs.
I've had one unmedicated birth (I'd rather walk on shards of glass than do that again! ) and this TN pain isn't nearly as bad as that was....thank goodness. Actually, I'm much better but I've been taking Ibuprofen all morning so I'm guessing that's helping it. That or I just have a very mild case of it.
This is why it's always a good idea to do trial runs for recipes like this. Glad you had fun making them.
I have a few family recipes that I'm both excited and scared to try. Turns out no one in my family really follows a recipe and they all add their own twist to it. Took me forever to figure that out, LOL. But that's ok, 'cuz I have a tendancy to do it too.
Hi everyone! Sorry I have not been on much. School gets crazy at this time of the year. Just two more days and I get a week off. I did just read many of your posts. I have been pretty busy with classes, meeting with desperate students who suddenly realize that their research papers are due soon, and attending meetings.
Kelly, I have found that ice sometimes help me too. I just put an ice pack on my head/forehead. I imagine I look quite comical.: I am also taking neurontin for the burning pain. If I remember right you quit taking it? I am still dealing with the burning, but it is down to a more manageable level. And the icepick pain has vanished. Yeah!
Frank, I enjoyed the nativity scene. You guys are really into decorating. I am going to put up my tree and other decorations next week during my week off from school. I used to outline my garage and duplex, plus shubbery with lights, but can't do that anymore. I don't think I should get up on a ladder. I do decorate the door and front porch.
Sandy, I am sorry to hear about your brother. I have one brother (he is the oldest sibling) who is sort of the black sheep of the family. He has been married 4 times, and well, he is a bit or alot crazy, and has a problem with alcohol. He called me yesterday to see how I was and spent the whole time telling me about his health problems and how he knows he has lymes. Last year he was sure that he had ms too. A few years ago he said he was bipolar. Who knows? I do not know how wife # 4 stays with him. My other brother and two sisters will usually screen his calls and will not return them, but I occasionally feel bad for him. However, when he told me that he could not make it back to Ohio at Christmas because the trip is just too hard on him (about a 6 hour drive), I started laughing. I drive 9 hours home by myself. Sorry, I did not mean to turn this post into a diatribe about the "Bob" -- my brother.
Hope everyone else is doing ok.
Soxlady, I love pierogis. They remind me of Pittsburgh.
aw, it's okay, honey.... that's what we're here for!
Bob sounds a LOT like my brother Dano.
*yeah, as in "Book him, Dano!"*
that's why I hardly ever talk about him, if I got started, I'd just go on and on.
after many years, nobody was ever sure when he was telling the truth,
if we five other siblings compared stories, they NEVER matched.
Dan only had 3 wives though.
