Default Happy happy happier!

How old you are and what you FEEL inside are the things that count!
Every day is a blessing, but special days are even more important.
I'd splurge and go out and buy my favorite candy bar, and get myself into a PLACE I KNOW I'll enjoy it and then eat it! Small present to yourself....what used to be called a 'circe' -tho don't know why. I always viewed it as a little treat.
Sometimes it's those little things that are comforting. Go with that and get on with all the other life hassles.
Later, like on the weekend? Go celebrate as best you can with friends [even if it's over a cup of herbal tea or something] and just find ways to laugh. That is what can get us all thru it all...
You aren't selfish at all! Not at all! Never think that - wait till you hit 40 or worse! Then worry? But not NOW!
Hugs and fun in your future! - j 's

Meg--Meg--Meg--...it seems like just yesterday you were just a young pup of 18 LOL

Now I want this year to be a good year for you. I want you to see the glass as half full and your life ahead of you full of promises of a better day.

If I was there I would give you a big hug and sing really really loud to you. Hopefully out in public so I could watch you blush.

If you are off work on Saturday take a walk and really look at the world around you with new 19 year old eyes. See the beauty that is around you. I just spent the day teaching 26 kindergardeners. Now they can make you smile. Try to see the world through a 5 year olds eyes and I dare you not to laugh. Have fun this weekend and happy happy happy birthday to you...Sue

Happy belated BDay, Meg!

My dd turned 19 in Sept, and your avatar resembles her.

YOU deserve a special day. YOU deserve to celebrate you. Life is tough, and there may seem like there are 400 reasons to cry. But there will always be one reason - if you look really hard - to smile. Look really hard if you have to, and smile every chance you get.

But you should always know that you were meant to be born, and your Birthday is your day. Celebrate that the world is lucky enough to have you.

(I told my dd this on a very hard bday a couple years back, and I mean it sincerely for you as well)

Heart

Meg...on the day you were born, no one else like you made an entrance onto this beautiful planet. None of us, none of us, has been born without purpose.

You are here for a reason...your journey this year is to search for that reason...

You are worthy of the time and attention it will take this year to discover what makes Meg special...and we all are special, Meg.

Never dishonor the day that marks you entrance into this world...for it is the day that no one like you came to make a difference.

Each person, grumpy or happy, has a story...look beyond the exterior, see the person who also came for a purpose, and know that many feel very alone in this world...a smile would make them feel better...it also makes you feel better.

I hope that you have done or will do something special for your day...because you deserve it!

Happy, happy birthday, Meg!!!

PS I hope you keep on here...there's a lot of great peeps on this site!!
