feeling like ****..can I type that...hmmm

I have a cold..well it is a SORE throat, maybe fever at times...and just exhausted...but mainly the throat is terrible...lost voice today at work...YES I Know I shouldnt be at work....I didnt find coverage...

so here I am was looking to cover part of my shift tomorrow..so I could go do the schedule..but not deal wiht customers..and food...and even called the other two stores...and cant figure out coverage..uggggg:eek:

so drinking tons of liquids and hot drinks....made some hot soup..well rice milk soup...sounds wierd ...it is a spanish dish...called soupa de leche... the kids like it...and I am thinking hot things for my throat....

I really wish I didnt have to go do a full work with ppl shift....not good place to work while sick..uggg

anyhow..the throat got me thinking...ok so I dont recall ever EVER having mono....ok...as far as I can tell...

so ...I had that bloodwork done few weeks ago...for the EBV titers..or whatever you call it..and the numbers are HIGH...some very high...
so she had said, she isnt sure how to read it..that not sure if means reactivated in my system..or what.....but hey got me thinking....now that I think back...I have had a sore throat on and off again for more than a month...most times not bad sore throat...

but now last two days....vicious sore throat....and wiped out...probably not related...but had me wondering about those numbers...if it could be that I have MONO for first time..or what...I will get them and peek thru online to see if figure out a bit about my results...

she was getting in touch with a immunologist that she was thinking of me seeing soon...and ask about if my sxs are something he should see me for..nto the throat thing...my you know neuro sxs hehehe

but also now she is gettin in touch with him to read my results and let me know what the EBV results mean...is it EBV...cant remember...oh well...

back to life...kids are hoping we decorate tree tonight..we ahve had it up three nights now....and each night they want my help..and I have slept...maybe we will get the lights up..and let them get started on decor...

either way...just chilling...drinking tons of tea, and gargling with hot salt water...anything to get the rest I need....and hoping in morning not too bad off....hugsss to all, sarah

Sarah, Nik had a vicious sore throat and on and off fevers. His sore throat was so bad they gave him T3 for the pain. He didn't have the fatigue too bad because his mono was mild but you definitely seem to have the symptoms of mono. If the titers were high it can cause mono so be careful. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is thought to also be associated with EBV but so far the CDC has not found a definite link with each other.

In other words, call your doctor tonight, the GP, neuro, whoever you have to. You can't work in the food areas for sure if it's mono.

Sandy...the Olhipie felt bad that skiing will be out for Jim this year...he said that means that he will have to ski twice as hard one for him and one for Jim.

Gotta get going on the meat loaf. I'm making a big one. My son for a hobby has a friend who raises beef cattle. He mostly does it to show them. So he will after he get off work go to work the bulls...he has been in Reno with all those bulls at a huge cattle show and he will be getting back in about four hours and he will be hungry. Makeing at least a two pounder...

Tammy, I am really sorry we can't come. With the holidays and the cost of things we can't seem to get ahead this year. If Jim gets this lift we're trying for we'll have to finance the remainder and we don't even know how much yet. I need to get my van paid off, the beds paid off, and the house note down to a decent level. We lost over 30g's on our house so far.

BUT, if you come here you can ski in my back yard in about a month or so. Right Frank? lol

so here I was trying to cover me with my daytime manager moving to AM for me...then covering her...but hadnt found afternoon coverage so never called her to switch..but then tonight got a call from store...that afternoon manager called in sick for tomorrow....:(...and my other two managers that are off...both are out of town tomorrow..one for a dr apt...one for overnight with family christmas shopping....

so I am having to head in from 7am-2pm..then my evening manager..my assistant...she is doing a longer one 2pm-11pm...I will call dr from work tomorrow and tell them what is up...see if they can fit me in tomorrow afternoon...hoping it is NOT mono...due to what you said Sandy....would hate to be working with something infectious...but hey I thought I read mono there arent meds to treat..other than treating sxs...so if mono can last for weeks how would you stay out of work that long???

anyhow....just snuggling with Maddie..and on way up to bed....Jasmine is going to read us some christmas bedtime stories...hugsss,sarah

sabimax 12-07-2008 09:10 PM

so far no fever though I dont think..so that is a plus ...Mikayla is starting to feel awful now too..my 13 year old....hoping this is a cold type viral thing...so we can all recover fast..hugss,sarah

Sarah, hope you feel better soon. I've had Mono...when I was 18 and I had a severe case of it. Lasted months and literally wiped me out. All I did was sleep. Right now, I have what I think is the flu. Sore throat, ear aches, fever....and I just cannot seem to shake it. I guess it does last a week or so - maybe I'm just impatient - but I am taking an antibiotic so if it's not viral it should help. I couldn't work with this, though. It just zaps my energy. Even posting wears me out. But I'm sure MS in the mix doesn't help matters, either. I hope the docs get on the ball and get something for you to take. You don't want to let an infection linger on. Have you tried Zicam?

Feel better soon!!!

As you can see my username changed from "Herekitty" to just "Kitty". I left my avatar alone so everyone will know it's me. :)

Good morning everyone!

I'm off the computer for a few days and look what happens, a new thread and 5 pages to read and TRY to remember, and a lot of singing going on.:D

For all of you who are not feeling well, I hope you start feeling better soon.:grouphug:

Had a fun weekend at DBF's. Saturday I asked what he needed me to do and he asked me to rake the yard. (He forgets some of my limitations sometimes.:D) Well, I gave it try and quickly found that it wasn't working for me. So I cleaned out one of the flower beds that was full of weeds and river rock (I just threw them in the wheel barrel and he hauled them away). I was able to sit down and work on weeding and breaking up the soil. It was so wonderful to get my hands in the dirt and work with it. I love playing in the dirt; the feel and smell of the soil is so wonderful. The flower bed looks great and is now ready for plants.

BTW - The weather was beautiful! Sunny and when working out in the sun like that I could have worn a tank top and shorts; just didn't have any with me.

Then Sunday, the artist who lives across the street invited me over to play with clay. She has a kiln and tons of art stuff. It was so much fun. I made an abstract 3D tile to hang on the wall. I'll glaze it next weekend.

Additionally, she saw the Christmas card (hand drawn Baby Jesus - real simple card, no frills) that I am working on and wanted to buy some from me. It was a great compliment to me as this woman is an awesome artist. Of course, despite the fact I need the money, I can't charge her for it as she bought me a huge thing of clay and is teaching me techniques for working with the clay, allowing me to use her studio and kiln.

All in all it was a great weekend.

I hope you all have a great day today!
