Merry Christmas everyone, i hope your day is going well, and all are enjoying the day. We had a most wonderful Christmas Eve, and wanted to express both Deborahs and my wishes for all to have a most peaceful Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a blast last night with my family and friends. It warms the heart when so many people can get together and accept and love each other so very much.

Thank you all for your love and support this year.

Sure is quiet around here. Everyone must be enjoying time with family, friends, and goodies found under the tree. Time for me to take out the trash and curl up with one of my new books again. Merry rest of the day.

well, I survived the Christmas Blues by keeping busy, busy, busy !!

missing my mom, my brother, and my best friend, all smiling down at me from Heaven. . .

and my kids, all so far away... I miss them so much.



so, today was chores all day, raking, sweeping, cleaning cages, and setting up new nestboxes (finished TEN, wowzers!!)

then, DH and I plucked half-a-dozen birds, and listened to music, just feeling companionable, and enjoying each other.

hubby made a GIANT kettle of soup stock, baked bread, and made a special cake for us to share...

the turkeys finished hatching their eggs this morning, and there's 13 little cheepers... and two hens are busy with their 17 new babies...

plus, all the eggs in the incubator hatched on Christmas Eve, so there's 40 more chickie babies, and we set them up in a brooder box in the shelter, as it's been cold at night (well, NOT cold like you Northerners have, but too chilly for beebies to be outdoors in a jungle coop, which is mostly made of screening.)

life goes on, and the rhythms of farming ebb and flow, and I am content.

Ahhh....Kay, I know what you mean. Missing many people in my life.....my hubby, my sister, my Mom & Dad, my grandmother......but I know they are all OK. I hope they know how much they are still loved and missed by all of us still here to finish whatever we are meant to finish.

We had a nice quiet day. Watched Christmas Vacation and It's a Wonderful Life. The Christmas Story is on non stop on a cable channel so I watched it today, too! We had lunch together and Kevin is now up at his girlfriends house and Matt has gone to visit his girlfriend and her folks. It's just me and the cats and it's nice and quiet....just the way I like it!

I hope everyone here had a nice day....doing whatever made you happy. It'll be a new year before we know it. I hope it's kinder to all of us.

AWww Kelly and Kay to both of you I know what you mean I too miss my nana and dad so much, it can be hard at times just to share one more laugh or smile, instead I just dig deep in my heart and they are both there smiling and at my side always

We watched the annual Christmas movie with the boys just now. This year it was Fred Claus. That was the cutest funniest movie I've seen in awhile. If you get a chance, watch it. Chris is getting ready for his big trip tomorrow to Shreveport for the NIU Independance Bowl, Nik is playing xbox, Jim is playing xbox and I am here.

Renee, if your up and reading I thought about you today and hope it was a good one. I know it must be hard this year. I'll give a ya a call soon.

Back to reality..hehe back to work for 7-3!
Hope all had wonderful couple days...I did, even thru the teary eyed Church mass.. the kids had so much fun last two days,especially at Grandparents house with the cousins. My younger sister has five kids too, the oldest three are same ages as my oldest three.
