Default Happy New Year Deborah

In case any of you thunk I would leave my Debbie out of the well wishes, I have not.

Deborah my love, Deborah my darling wife,
I can not express the happiness you bring to my life.
You and I met by pure chance
With us, its always been a slow dance.
You always accepted me for who I was
Without running away just because
Because I have MS and I shall need you
You said dont worry honey, dont be blue
You have done all you can to help me out
You didnt run, you didnt shout
Deborah you have helped me out every day
For my love can not think of all to say
Thank you for believing in me when I was unsure
I pray before this dance is over, there comes a cure
So we could smile dance and shed tears
Being allowed to love for another hundred years
I love you Deborah my darling wife
Happy new year and to us a good life

Morning everyone. Frank, that was so nice, thank you. Right backatcha!

I feel so much better today. The tummy is healing finally and has reduced to rumbling now. Whew, that was a tough one. Thank you for all the well wishes. They really made me smile when I'd come on to lurk.

Everyone have a wonderful New Year eve and stay safe. The boys will be out and you know I will worry but they are adults so I am letting go slowly. Jim and I will order out and lay in bed watching tv.

Sandy, I know the feeling. Both of my boys will be out tonight. But....I told them they'd better make plans to stay over where they are....no driving tonight. I don't trust all the other drivers out there. Plus, I'm not stupid....I know they will have a drink or three.

I made my Frozen Cranberry Margaritas and they are in the freezer out in the garage. I taste-tested and it's very good! Matt saw it and was full of questions.....why'd you make that? who's coming over? are you drinking now? how much Tequila did you put in there? you're not going anywhere tonight are you? geeze, wonder where he got THAT from.......?

Cool

We never go out on New Year's eve. Don't drink either. We will toast with some hot choccy.

All the drunks on the road scare me too much.

Hubby is a New Year baby, so tomorrow I'll make him a cake.

I do kinda miss my old single days. The local DFW band scene. Good music, lots of fun. Even X's band isn't playing this year. I feel so old. Nah...must be him huh?

When my granddaughter was in high school (she's a college freshman) her group of friends had their parties (booze free, of course) at the home of one of the guys in their group. If the party was going to last (like New Year's), it was a MANDATORY stay-over. They had a girls' "dorm" and one for the boys, well-chaperoned. The mom was not about to send teenage drivers headed home late at night with all the drunken bozos on the roads. How I admire her for that!

That is really cool B2Y.

For a few years we ran a kids night out at our old gym. We had basketball, racquetball and an indoor pool. We used a racquetball court as a disco room. A fun safe place for kids every Saturday night.

One year we had New Years Eve party for the kids. We all had a blast.

One thing we didn't think about was drunk parents picking them up.
We spent hours driving kids home.

when my older boys were young I used to have kids new years sleepover
parties.......we would do crafts , make lots of appetizers(kids love those),
and toast all night with sparkling cider. I swear I would get buzzed off]
of the bubbles but I guess that cant be

Now my health is not as good and I am as old as dirt. My younger ones
would love to do this as they have heard about it from their older bros.
I have now promised that I will do my best to do this next year.

My bff since high school and her daughter are coming over and we will
be making homemade pizzas(the kids can make their own.) they love
making the dough and "playing" with it. they will probably sleep over.
so that will be fun for the little ones. My older ones will do first night
downtown. they drop a ball and its all crazy. I worry about them on
the streets but they really enjoy this(and they are 19 and 17 so.....)

I hope everyone has the kind of eve that is just perfect for them!!
