Sandy...the Olhipie felt bad that skiing will be out for Jim this year...he said that means that he will have to ski twice as hard one for him and one for Jim.

Gotta get going on the meat loaf. I'm making a big one. My son for a hobby has a friend who raises beef cattle. He mostly does it to show them. So he will after he get off work go to work the bulls...he has been in Reno with all those bulls at a huge cattle show and he will be getting back in about four hours and he will be hungry. Makeing at least a two pounder...

Tammy, I am really sorry we can't come. With the holidays and the cost of things we can't seem to get ahead this year. If Jim gets this lift we're trying for we'll have to finance the remainder and we don't even know how much yet. I need to get my van paid off, the beds paid off, and the house note down to a decent level. We lost over 30g's on our house so far.

BUT, if you come here you can ski in my back yard in about a month or so. Right Frank? lol

so here I was trying to cover me with my daytime manager moving to AM for me...then covering her...but hadnt found afternoon coverage so never called her to switch..but then tonight got a call from store...that afternoon manager called in sick for tomorrow.......and my other two managers that are off...both are out of town tomorrow..one for a dr apt...one for overnight with family christmas shopping....

so I am having to head in from 7am-2pm..then my evening manager..my assistant...she is doing a longer one 2pm-11pm...I will call dr from work tomorrow and tell them what is up...see if they can fit me in tomorrow afternoon...hoping it is NOT mono...due to what you said Sandy....would hate to be working with something infectious...but hey I thought I read mono there arent meds to treat..other than treating sxs...so if mono can last for weeks how would you stay out of work that long???

anyhow....just snuggling with Maddie..and on way up to bed....Jasmine is going to read us some christmas bedtime stories...hugsss,sarah

Sarah, hope you feel better soon. I've had Mono...when I was 18 and I had a severe case of it. Lasted months and literally wiped me out. All I did was sleep. Right now, I have what I think is the flu. Sore throat, ear aches, fever....and I just cannot seem to shake it. I guess it does last a week or so - maybe I'm just impatient - but I am taking an antibiotic so if it's not viral it should help. I couldn't work with this, though. It just zaps my energy. Even posting wears me out. But I'm sure MS in the mix doesn't help matters, either. I hope the docs get on the ball and get something for you to take. You don't want to let an infection linger on. Have you tried Zicam?

Feel better soon!!!

As you can see my username changed from "Herekitty" to just "Kitty". I left my avatar alone so everyone will know it's me.

Good morning everyone!

I'm off the computer for a few days and look what happens, a new thread and 5 pages to read and TRY to remember, and a lot of singing going on.

For all of you who are not feeling well, I hope you start feeling better soon.

Had a fun weekend at DBF's. Saturday I asked what he needed me to do and he asked me to rake the yard. (He forgets some of my limitations sometimes.) Well, I gave it try and quickly found that it wasn't working for me. So I cleaned out one of the flower beds that was full of weeds and river rock (I just threw them in the wheel barrel and he hauled them away). I was able to sit down and work on weeding and breaking up the soil. It was so wonderful to get my hands in the dirt and work with it. I love playing in the dirt; the feel and smell of the soil is so wonderful. The flower bed looks great and is now ready for plants.

BTW - The weather was beautiful! Sunny and when working out in the sun like that I could have worn a tank top and shorts; just didn't have any with me.

Then Sunday, the artist who lives across the street invited me over to play with clay. She has a kiln and tons of art stuff. It was so much fun. I made an abstract 3D tile to hang on the wall. I'll glaze it next weekend.

Additionally, she saw the Christmas card (hand drawn Baby Jesus - real simple card, no frills) that I am working on and wanted to buy some from me. It was a great compliment to me as this woman is an awesome artist. Of course, despite the fact I need the money, I can't charge her for it as she bought me a huge thing of clay and is teaching me techniques for working with the clay, allowing me to use her studio and kiln.

All in all it was a great weekend.

I hope you all have a great day today!
