I found a new feature on my computer. It's Charter Radio and you can pick what kind of music you want.....I have it on Seventies Hits and I'm listening to "Kiss and Say Goodbye" by the Manhattans. I just LOVE this song. I think my cats have determined I've lost my mind!!

Ooo...ooo..."Black Magic Woman" by Santana just came on!! I can see that I'm not gonna get anything done today!!

"Ladies Night" by Kool and The Gang!! Where's my strobe light????

Good Morning! I just have time for a quick hey. My congress class is at 11:00. I added a questions to my class's study guide about Obama's speech. Can you believe they did the oath again last night? I think it was a good idea in case anyone (that was deranged) tried to challenge his presidency. Now that the Chief Justice made such a mistake in front of millions of people, I do not feel so bad if the wrong words come out in class. Yesterday I said that "population in the house is based on representation." Of course I meant just the opposite.

Hope you all have a good day.

that song has a fascinating history!

it was first done by Delaney & Bonnie.

the Carpenters were the first to make it into a HUGE hit.

depends on if we think Faux Gnus' Propaganda Bobbleheads Gretchen Carlson and Chris Wallace are deranged, LOL !!

Fox News anchors harp on oath story - Wed, Jan 21, 2009

Chris Wallace stated, "I'm not sure that Barack Obama really is the president of the United States, because the oath of office is set in the Constitution." (snipped) On Fox & Friends the following day, Fox News repeatedly aired video of the oath flub, and Gretchen Carlson asked of Obama, "Is he really president?" and went on to claim, "Because there was a flub in the oath of office."

she'll be the first in our entire FAMILY to graduate with highest honors.

yeah, I'm still grinning, it's plastered on my face from EAR to EAR!

Kitty & all others who remember and even have a few fond memories of the 70's: Do you all watch "Life on Mars"? It is a funny cool show about life in the 70's. A far fetched story line about a cop that suffers an injury and ends up in 1973. But it's funny to see all of the fashions and hear the language again, etc. Please tell me I'm not the only one that likes this quirky show.

You can watch the past episodes online and it starts again on the 28th.

This is a link to a radio ala 1973:

http://abc.go.com/primetime/lifeonmars/index?pn=radio

It's a heat wave today of 41 degrees-going to turn colder again for the rest of the week, but I'm going to celebrate today! The furnace actually shuts off occasionally!

Edited to add: We took the fluffs for a buggy ride and the air was exhilarating. It actually got up to 47 degrees! perfect.
