Hi Y'all.

I'm just sitting here sleepy, need to shower and hit the sack so I can work the next two days, then vacation on Saturday! We leave for O'Hare at about 3am Fri nite, our flight leaves a few hours later.

I'll likely check in here during the day on Thurs & Fri. I took a sip of DH's Guiness tonight and have a headache, I should have known better!

I need to do a few last minute packing items and put clean sheets on DS's bed and that's about it! I'll do that tomorrow night.

DS just called from Ohio and was telling me he shoveled 3" of partly cloudy today!

Howdy folks, I've peeked in and tried to keep up with you busy folks the last couple of days. I just haven't had it in me to post.

Fatigue is wiping me out. I've slept pretty much all day yesterday and today.

I'm not going to be around Friday or over the weekend. We've decided to go visit DH's dad. He's asking for us to come visit after he gets home from the hospital. He has battled a rare gastrointestinal cancer for almost 6 years now. He's losing the battle. Today they also determined he now has Leukemia on top of the other... caused by the experimental chemo drugs he had to take. So it's not good.

I just hope I get through the weekend.

oh, Pam, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news.

I understand completely.

my mom had a massive stroke, and we worked with her daily for three years to get her up to feeding herself, and assisting with transfers, and brought her from one word (all she could say was bicycle, and we had to guess by her tone what she meant) to over 200 spoken words.

then, BLAM, outta nowhere, small-cell carcinoma in her lungs, too far advanced for chemo or radiation.

it was agonizing, all we could do was help her go to heaven, and hold her hand.

my heart goes out to you, while you deal with this trauma.

I'll be praying for you.
