Pam,

I'm sorry about your DH's dad. I lost my both of my parents a few years ago so I know what you're going through, my Mom after a long battle with Alzheimer's and my Dad of a shorter battle with leukemia that he was too frail to be treated for...

Debbie D,

Sorry for all you're going through with your son and DIL.

Weave,

It does my heart good to see you smile when you say you have to go to work today. I'm so happy for you finding this job and to see how much it has lifted your spirits.

Everyone else needing a hug...

Morning! I was woke up by sister calling and then Mom. I swear my mom thinks I have an office stuck to my behind. I took care of her business and then had coffee. I think I have an ear infection. I've been having sharp shooting pains in my ears for a couple of days. Jim had some left over Clarithromycin so I'm taking that. It better work!

I may try to start packing up the decs in the basement. My bins came in so whoohoo! I can't put them in the closet because they will be installing the ramp on the stairs but that's OK. Ramp Up called yesterday while Frank and Deb were here. They needed me to fax a couple of things to them. They approved us and now we're waiting on their architect to approve it! Whoohoo!

just read about a 72 yr old lady who had a baseball card on ebay she found in the attic 139 yr old card the first team photo of the first official team the Cincinnati red stockings, her minimum bid was ten bucks, but seeing she had so many inquires to its being authentic she starting, doing some homework, its worth at least a hundred grand, and she never ever went to a bb game :SMACK: she needless to say took the item off ebay and will re-post with a higher starting bid, conrats to her

Need to get DS from school and then I might do some shopping. What I really need to do is work on yesterday's leftover to do list. Hmm. Clothes shop or housework? Which do ya think I'll do?

Hey all hugsss to all those dealing with cancers, illness in family or yourselves...hugsssssssssssssss

Sandy take care of those ears!!

hugsss all

dad will have surgery Tuesday, I think I reported that much. thanks for the thoughts...

I finally called my dr office, to bother them about my EBV test results....they gave me the results if you recall back in beginning of Dec. and said that they wanted a immunologist to read and report what he thinks of results. SOOOOOOOOO

hadnt heard, then had apt there due to illness weeks ago, asked and they hadnt heard back. Then called, and still no word back from immunologist.

Wouldnt you know it, so my dr must have gotten my message, reached there, she calls me, I miss the ring of cell phone by a moment...try to call the number..get busy signal (as she is leaving me a message) as I am pulling into driveway, I listen to her message, saying she will call me at home..and if doesnt reach me she will call me tomorrow. That she heard and spoke with hte immunologist.

So I run inside with Maddie, and yes a message on that phone too, saying she will reach me tomorrow. As she is off, but was checking in quick at the office. I tried the number and the dr office number, as she mentioned only being there for 15min. Well of course it was lunch time I think...and the phone wasnt going thru...ugggggg

so not that it matters too much, the testin was way back in November right...But curiousity has me!!! crazy!!

anyhow the results I have, and the numbers were wacky I know, she had mentioned she isnt sure if means results mean reactivation of EBV (mono) or what.. she did say however, of course if anything, it wouldnt cause all my sxs..but would cause fatigue.

well we will see tomorrow when she calls, I will keep my cell phone on me I guess, at work.

other than that nothing new, sun is shining, played a LOT of tennis and bowling yesterday on the Wii. that is fun.

Jan 23rd going downstate for sure, for the Gynmastics meet that is in honor of my sister...SURPRISE the meet is being called the MS invitational!! what you might ask..well her initials are MS..money raised will go to cancer center near there. found it wierd when bil sent info...and the title said MS invitational... i was thinking what my bil and MS what?? lol

hugss all, sarah

SSI question
ok folks time to pick your brains I want opinions and any examples are welcomed, I applied back in feb of 07 my hearing is this month... whoopiie doo

I have to pay back my disability pension if I win and I will win less 3o percent thanks to lawyers, and yet I am to make up the 30 % for my pension ?plus I will have to wait for 5 months to get health insurance

and I will not have life insurance through my work any more...

ok should I just blow off the meeting so it gets tossed out and I still get my disability pension same amount as ssi will pay each month plus i still have health and life insurance

I told binder and binder to drop this case a year and then some ago, because i knew this problem would arise in the end they refused to do so, blow off meeting sure seems like the best answer for me I just need some input from yall

thanks

Personally, I don't know Frank. I do know if the SSI is lower than the disability pension then you'll get both. If it's higher (your work) they subract whatever is the difference. At least that's how I remember it. You'll be able to pay the disability difference off with the back pay. So, hopefully the difference among the two isn't too much and the payback is not as much as your thinking. Second, I thought SSI was an automatic for Medicare? Things sure have changed since Jim went this way with SSDI.

Did they actually tell you you would lose your disability if your approved? My mom wasn't told that when she was going for disability. They just said whatever the difference is they would adjust to it. Now, if her SSDI was way above the work disability then yea, she would not get her work check anymore.

Life insurance. We were told by a gazillion insurance companies that if Jim wasn't SPMS he would qualify for life insurance. So, if your still RRMS you may be able to pick up insurance easier.

PS: I don't think we're going to lose SS in the economic mess.
