Kay, hope you know I was kiddin' ya!! I greatly admire your huge work ethic, and am really envious of your life...

I pray that Obama doesn't end up as wishy-washy as Carter was...Obama is intelligent...but as the pundits say, once you get those daily national security briefings, the reality hist the fan, and the incoming president sees what is really going on...
Hillary seemed to do well at the confirmation hearings today...the worry is Bill's foundation and if it would corrupt her job. He's an albatross around her neck. Still, my wallet was a lot fuller during his presidency...

Well, Sarah, thanks for letting us know how your dad's doing...hope he has a peaceful evening...pray for the best...

All of you up here keep warm...reports are that we'll hit -20 on Thursday morning...gulp.
The rest of you, have a good evening!

Try this site... http://www.glitter-graphics.com/

Just copy and paste the codes. You don't have to save any of the pictures. In the search..type in chocolate. There are a bunch...cake too..

Sarah - Glad to hear you dad did well. I will say some prayers that the results are negative. Hang in there.

Fin - How did your test go yesterday? Hoping all went well.

Barb - Hopefully those students will show up for the next class. Not a good way to start out a new semester, huh? Also, I hope you don't get the stomach bug. It's going around here too.

Sandy - Hoping the weather man is wrong, wrong, wrong and you can get your car in to get fixed.

Kay - I have to agree with DebbieD. I too admire you for all that you do. You are truly amazing.

Weave - Hang in there! Focus on what you need/want to do. Everything will fall in to its proper place in time. I am so proud of you and so happy for you.

Hi Everyone else. Thinking of you as well and hoping that you are all doing well.

Frank & Barb - The 2 classes that I wanted to take were canceled due to low/no enrollment. So I am trying to decide on which classes to take now. I am leaning towards taking anatomy & physiology over again as a refresher.

I talked with both my brother and the neuro about it as it would be a combination of recalling old information from when I was in nursing school, using information I have learned along the way, and new information as they have learned so much more about the human body since the early/mid 80's. Therefore, we all agreed that this would be easier for me and a great way to test my information processing.

Additionally, the class is a self-paced class that utilizes a textbook, online coursework, and the biology lab at the school. This gives me a little flexibility with my schedule.

Not sure what I am going to take for the other class. I am trying to decide between a refresher English class (1 1/2 hr long) and a Sculptural Design class which there would be some sitting and some movement.

Sarah, glad to see your dad's surgery seems to have gone well.

~~~~~~~~~
Morning all! Sitting here with a real cup of coffe, definitely doesn't taste the same without cream, lol! And was actually hungry enough to have breakfast. Not usually a breakfast person, but fasting can do that to a person.
Only one snag in the test. They blew a vein with the IV, and had to stick the new one in the worst place possible. The front side of the wrist, near the point where you can bend it. Hurt like crazy going in. But luckily got the drugs in and I was out like a light. Managed to wake up enough to leave, grab dinner (raising cane chicken ), then was out again until around 8 this morn.
Still sore from the poking and prodding, but they didn't find anything. They gave me some diet instructions, and told me to follow up with PCP. Need to find out where to go from here. Even my GI doc, who performed the test, thought it unusual that I was still having that much pain during the prep. So need to find out what else this may be.
So taking it easy today after the fun of the past few days.
Hope everyone's day goes well.
gracias, mi amiga !!
I think most of us (except the top 2%, and why do THEY need any more?) had fuller wallets, more safety, more jobs, etc. back then.
I, too, pray that the Pres-Elect is able to repair the damage, to the economy, the infrastructure, and the moral integrity of the US.
