I am in between classes, and was just checking up on you all. Streets are slippery here; just got about 2 inches, but there is ice under the snow. My anti lock brakes were activated two times during my drive, and I was only going about 15 mph.

Jenn, Glad the test went ok. Hope they can figure out what is going on. So are you on a no dairy diet? I actually woke up during both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Nothing can knock me out.

Whew! I'm all caught up now on everyone. Good thing my mouth was empty when Frank said calling him "wise one" so early in the morning needs a spew alert warning. That had me rolling on the floor in giggles. Why did that set me off but the earlier post didn't?

Hugs all around. Those in the frozen tundra get an extra one for warmth. Those living someplace toasty warm get an extra if they FedEx me some warmth. Those who are sick or stressed get an extra one too.

Went to my first staff meeting today. I'm not sure who is happier about me being there me or my boss. She said she was really pleased with my learning progress and speed. Then she handed me another job and warned me I'd be learning some new stuff my next work day. Bring it on.

Okay I have got to get certain things done today! I want the stuff done. It isn't hard to do or messy. I know I'll feel better when it is done. So why is this drag- my- feet- day- I've- lost- count?

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the waking up. Never had a problem with them knocking me out, lol. The meds are like hitting me with a really big rubber mallet.

Nah, They want me to eat more rabbit food. More veggies and fruit. (just call me bugs bunny ) Get to talk to the PCP tomorrow for my follow up, and talk with him about the pain I had during prep.

And we are getting lots and lots of snow! The temps are falling too. fun, fun, fun. Hubby took my car today since I don't plan on going anywhere, it has AWD, and he can warm it up remotely. That had to be the best anniversary gift I ever had and has definitely paid for itself.

OK, so I took my ruler out to the porch where I shoveled to the bare bottom yesterday to see how much snow we got last night/today. Are you ready for this? 7 inches!!!! And that is not with the wind drifts which just really started to pick up. I am so glad I snow blowed and shoveled yesterday or it would be well over a foot. Sheesh, we all get different levels don't we? I am glad to hear you only got a few inches Frank. How much did you get Debbie?

So as you may have guessed I will be snow blowing again. That Toro is getting it's workout this year for sure. I may go thru some mail on my kitchen table before it gets out of hand. Then relax, watch my soaps and then dye my hair.

Sarah, glad the surgery went well. When will you know the pathology results?

Trish, good luck in school! I did my masters online and liked it. I did have to drop out when Jim became sick. I was three classes shy of my masters and I couldn't get back in due to time restraints with the school. You had to finish the course within a certain time frame.

The back yard seemed to get more snow for some reason. Maybe because I have the fence and the snow can't blow away. The front porch is where I measured 7 inches of fresh snow this morning.

Sandy, I think we have about a foot of snow out there total...we didn't get as much, since Naperville has a bubble around it...lol Your table outside looks like ours on our deck...my poor Golden is having a heck of a time doing his business outside...snow's up to his belly.

I went out and shoveled, then DH came out from working at home to start the snowblower. I was glad, because the wind's whipping around now and the wind chill is really starting to drop. Such a nice DH

I swept up the needles from my fake xmas tree this afternoon...I had 2 handfuls!! (or is it handsful?). My tree is 34 yrs old, and a long-needle very wide tree-about 6-7 ft. wide at the bottom branches. We looked at new fake trees, and I couldn't believe how expensive they were! So I continue to clean up the fallen needles...makes it seem like we had a real tree without the danger of a fire!

DH is going to the Blackhawks hockey game tonight, so I hope I can make a dent in my medical transcription homework. I'm really struggling and very far behind...my memory is so bad that I can't remember anything I've read, and I get overwhelmed so easily...feel like I can't do anything with my brain.

Debbie, what school are you taking your classes at? Are they online?

Sandy, so does this qualify as a blizzard now? We only have a few inches, but it is blowing alot, and quite icy under the snow.

I had a bit of a rough time at school today. I decided I was going to stand and walk around during my second class as I feel like I have trouble connecting with all of the students when I am sitting. Well I made it through the class, but then I barely made it back to my office. My entire leg became really stiff and I was also having spasms. Usually, it is just stiff from the knee down in the mornings. After classes, I then went and limped around the grocery store and came home. It is still hurting and heavy and stiff despite stretching. I guess the cold combined with standing for an hour was too much. So I think I am going to have to figure out a way to sit during this class. I do not mind sitting in smalller classes. I watched a girl in this class today text messaging throughout the whole class. I guess I am going to have to say something about electronic devices again on Friday. I kept staring at her, but she did not catch on and I did not get a chance to talk with her after class. I guess she was not fascinated by my lecture and the class discussion. I won't be able to see that if I am sitting down.

So I am now skipping a department meeting that was scheduled for 4:00. I just could not face going out again.
