Hey everybody we're home!!!

Sarah,

I'll keep you and your dear dad in my prayers sweetie...

Well, the kitty was naughty but probably because he was bored. He chewed through both computer monitor cables. I had to stop at Walmart to get new ones on our way back into town.

We had a great time, didn't want to leave! We heard that the wind chill here was -35 degrees at one point of the very cold week!

The house is a mess so I'll be busy tomorrow, but will try to get the pics uploaded so I can share.

It's good to be back even though it's about 65 degrees colder here at home!

Yes thinking dad loved broth, or whatever the liquid meal was last night...woohoooo

glad as he is slim to begin with, so the other day when there his legs looked like toothpicks way fragile looking. Terrible how fast you lose strength and weight that way...(hey maybe I should get some surgery just kidding)

hugss and thanks,sarah

Good Morning everyone. Well, we had some more excitement in the neighborhood last night....,my neighbor had to call the ambulance for his wife. Apparently she has COPD and some lung problems but she was not able to breathe and they got panicked and called 911. The ambulance woke me up...not the siren but the sound of a diesel truck idling in the street and the lights flashing in my bedroom window. I know these two people live alone so I went out into the garage and walked across the freezing yard to see if there was anything I could do. The man was waiting for his son to come and get him to go to the hospital. He told the ambulance to go ahead and take her.

I felt so bad for him......then he said he was mad at her!! Seems that she has been ill for a while with all these breathing troubles and still continues to smoke!! I think I'd be mad, too! I hope she's okay but for the life of me I cannot understand someone's refusal to stop...especially with all the help out there.....baffling.

It got too cold to stay outside much longer so I just told him if there was anything I could do to knock on my door. Poor guy....

I've already had 2 cups of coffee but it's soooo cold here that I think I might have to make some more. It's supposed to be rainy here today with sleet and snow mixed in. Good day for soup....I might just have to thaw out the vegetable beef soup I made last week.

Welcome back, Wiz!! Glad you had fun. Back to reality!!

Everyone have a good day.

woke up feeling like crud.

low-grade everything, nothing worthy of bothering a doctor over.

backache, headache, stuffy sinuses, scratchy throat, eyes gummy, plus a little coldsore on my lip.

that's odd, because I used to be plagued by them *constantly* but I can remember only 2 in the last four years.

so, hot tea, a warm shower, and taking it EASY today.

oh, and here's HUGS for EVERYBODY:

this BUG is so fun, I just wanna SHARE it !!

Awww...Kay, I hope you feel better soon. I've had the scratchy throat and croupy cough for a couple of days.....gets worse at night for some reason.....just when I'm trying to go to sleep.

Hot liquids always help me. Well, that and chocolate!!

You could always combine the two by having hot chocolate.

Kay, sorry to hear about the bug. Rest up today.

Deb, That was sweet of Frank to do that for ya.

Frank, that meal sounded good. Take it easy and feel better soon.

Sarah, I feel for ya about firing someone. I never had to be the one to actually do it, but having been in assistant manager and team lead positions - I had to help with the final decision. That is never easy.

Glad to hear your dad's graduated to the liquid diet. Hoping all goes well with him.

Wiz, sorry to hear about the furbaby's rebellion while you were gone, but glad you had a great vacation.

Everyone,

~~~~~~~~~
Getting the last minute stuff together, and sipping coffee trying to wake up. Hubby's been worried I may not really be up to this trip, but I really want to see my neice and nephew. Don't have anything catching, so even though I'm a little sore I'm a going. Plus doc didn't say anything when I said we were traveling.
Hope everyone stays warm and safe today.
