After a struggle, we got the pics from my aging but nice camera. I don't want to buy another, this one was $400 about nine years ago, just has compatibility issues. It takes a nice pic though.

Since I have to work tomorrow, I'm taking my sandisk to work to (maybe) post some of them there, time allowing.

We got a big check that bounced from one of the school districts. Not a good thing. I get to deal with such nice things this week. Yikes.

Good morning all from the cold of Minnesota. We made it. Got a bit of a delay for me to see my SIL, but that's ok. Need to recover from the trip itself a little. Nothing like driving straight through. bod definitely not happy about that one.

Speaking of which -- Illinois peeps, got a question - are the highways in Chicago falling apart or was that my imagination? We lost time going through Illinois, but only way to avoid that would be canada - and definitely not sure if that would be any quicker.

then there's chopping firewood for the woodstove, and the heating bills, they were breaking my budget into splinters...

on top of that, the cold aggravates my spasticity, and it's hard to *move* when one is all bundled up.

I was just reading Alastair MacLean's Ice Station Zebra, and thinking of you shivering up there, shoveling and blowing snow, clearing drains, and getting pneumonia.

I was getting pneumonia about once a year, living in the Sierra Nevadas for 17 yrs...

Good Morning. Speaking of the cold; it is about 7 degrees here right now and we got about 2 inches of snow last night. But at least the sun is shining!

Did anyone watch the Steelers game last night? I do not usually watch football, but since everyone at home (50 minutes from Pittsburgh) was so excited by the game I had it on while I was reading. It was pretty brutal.

I really need to go to the grocery store today (need kleenex and water), but I think I will wait until the temperatures at least go up into the double digits. Hope we do not get too much more snow this afternoon.

Tomorrow is the big day. I plan on having the computer on in the classroom so they can watch some of the inauguration. Class starts at 11:00, but I can get into the room about ten minutes early. I have been invited to an inauguration party tomorrow night. I am not sure what ball gown I will wear. Or maybe I will wear my t shirt that says 1-20-2009; The End of an Error!
