No kidding...took Sanford for a walk, and actually got sweaty under the coat...I won't feel good until I see a tree full of leaves again...then it's time for bugs and yard work...ugg...am I never satisfied?

Well, the IVSM is doing its thing, since I have a horrible headache and I've slept a whole 30 minutes so far tonight. I read on line last evening that you're supposed to take it easy the first couple of days after getting the IV...is this true?

I have had a weird emotional reaction right away this time...DH noticed it as soon as he walked in from work...I was pacing and so overwrought...he said I get "an aura" about me. Can you tell we'll be celebrating 35 yrs of wedded bliss come March? The guy can read me like a dirty book...lol

anyhow, hugsssssssss hope you got some sleep!! on my way to work, hugss, sarah

oh, one bummer, with my symptoms!!! well I was suppose to go downstate this weekend. That gymnastics meet in my sisters name to raise money for cancer is this saturday!! I was going myself with two kids, or with them and my mom. My mom cancelled, since my sister cant help with dad enough if she was gone. UGGG sooo I was still going to go, but my right leg is doing wierd numbness then sciatica pain, when driving more than 20min. Been happening when driving to the hospital for my dad, then yesterday on way for my testing.

So, I dont trust the idea of me going 8 hours only driver, in case....Hate not doing things I want and love due to this crap that they cant dx...ugggggg

I was thinking of seeing about a friend going, but ran out of time I guess, or thinking it wouldnt work..who knows.

anyhow, ok let them know yesterday, and asked Mark (Madelines hubby) to get us some tshirts they are selling at it for us.

ok gotta stop thinking of it, my niece bless her heart, knows how much I want to get there, I told her about my leg. She said dont chance that Aunt Sarah..then told me to make sure I am busy saturday so not thinking of it much. She said she will call me after let me know all about it.

oh gotta get to work, hugss, sarah

Maybe they can videotape it (or parts of it) for you, Sarah.

I have the same trouble when driving....which is why I don't anymore unless it's just absolutely necessary. The grocery store is about the only place I go alone anymore. After just a few minutes of driving my right leg hurts so much and I can barely walk when I get out of the car. I cannot imagine having to drive for 8 hours! Even as a passenger I get the stiffness and have to stop and stretch frequently. I'm a terrible traveler!

Good Morning everyone just spent the last two hours messing around on here going through the old insights for my smilie face from behind the computer that use to wave i cant find it anywhere. I found Kellys pic of the sand h green stamps and so many other things, you know we are going through one of these threads in approx a months time, and I am sure of this, this thread is the best therapeutic thread on this sight.

last night around elevenish I really got sleepy and was boggled how could I be so drawn out, I had forgotten I had not slept the day before I woke this morning at 6 and had absolutely no idea what day it was, I mean I had no idea, kind of scared me, when I looked out front ten minutes later and saw the garbage I knew then it was friday, lets see doing laundry kid can do dishes and sweep I am going to do next to nothing today, at least those ore my intentions, and the dryer yowsers, I guess cleaning all the lint and dust out of it helped too, the cloths were so hot when I took them out of dryer.

Deb is going to pick up this cabinet that you can put your dryer on, helps raise it from the ground which will help my back, and it has a drawer for storage so we dont have the cash but it is gonna be reduced in price big time and figure my back and hers will appreciate it down the road

Sarah sorry you cant make it, you decided correctly not just for the sake of what will happen to you and your MSbs but the Kiddies too, I think this is an issue that MSer's never get over, the doubt the hesitation of hmmm can i finish that or can I do all that and will I be able to turn around and do it all again or next week or this evening will I have the energy, that lingering question, thats why i just plow through it and somewhere some day I will strand myself in a corner, I know I push these limits a lot, but thats how i have always been, Ive lived on the edge, loved it and still do. There are times i wonder now with the MS at such minor issues, but they can really be so influential in our choices, and consume so much thought process on yeah or nay. when before the decisions where climb the rock face with gear or free climb jump off this 50 ft cliff and hope that lake is deep down there kahyaking down to mardi gras hoping we make it in time now to me those are decisions, now its a hidious thing will i be able to find a spot close to door when i shop will i be able to help around the house tomorrow I already did a boo hoo the other night realizing I shall never run again was just one of those thoughts I had not ever thought of in those regards. never realized hell I dont even remember the last time probably with the kids or running about with the wolves .

sorry didnt mean to be a downer,

I hope you all have a most pleasant day

peace

Hi everyone! It's FRIDAY!!!!

Sue - I haven't watched that show as I am not much of TV watcher. I can imagine the humor in looking back at our "styles" from back then.

(((Sarah))) - I'm sorry your symptoms are interfering with what you want to do. Kelly had a great suggestion about the videotape. Is that a possibility?

Frank - I can't talk about our weather here. That would not be fair. I do feel for all of you in the extreme cold. I know how it effects me when it is in the 30's so I can only imagine what you all go through. Glad to hear the dryer is fixed. Good job Handyman Frank!

DebbieD - I don't have much advice to give you about IVSM as when I am on them I sleep all the time and feel very, very ill. I become a blob. I remember 1 time wishing I could just take a towel and put it between my legs so I didn't have to get up and go to the bathroom. LOL Therefore, taking it easy for a couple of days is easy for me. However, Holly gave some great advice and I hope it helps you.

Everyone - I hope you are doing well.

Have a good day everyone!

Morning everyone. We got the van fixed but found out we have a crappy battery that came from the factory and that we should have a better one. The plan is to wait and see what happens. If it keeps draining we'll get a new battery to go with the new computer. They also told me to take the van for a ride at least twice a week for 30+ minutes to get the amps up and running. Can't I just put a brick on the gas pedal? lmao Just kidding, taking a ride will be fine as long as I don't have to freeze.

Chris is in a mess. He now has two girls interested in him. Awwww, poor thing. He doesn't know what to do. lol Ahhhh, to be young again.

Nothing planned today except a few bills. I hope everyone has a good day and stay warm.

Here are a few of my tricks with IVSM:
  • Rest even if you don't want to - that stuff is harsh and you need to take it easy.
  • If you can't sleep, ask for Ambien or some other rx sleep aid.
  • Get lots of potassium, it depletes it from your system and that seems to cause a lot of the problems. I drink V8 with Calcium when I am on IVSM because it has tons of potassium, too. I also eat dried apricots and eat fresh canteloupe. All of those have a lot of potassium - way more even than bananas.
