I think in the Constitution, even if you didnt do the Oath, you become president on the 20th..no matter what!! but not an expert like Chris thinks he is lol

hey all

prayers for the hubby in down moods..sorry take care

congrats to the grad student, and others doing well

hugss to all who may need them, big

Well I went for the evoked potentials testing, didnt take as long as they said, they went ok. (other than laughing at the two ladies doing the testing, as they would keep questioning each other about which wires and what , I was like should I leave now...do they even know what they are doing!!) great living in this small town area haha

Anyhow, the testing got done. I am going on that results will be normal. As I usually think ok this is the testing that will show something about how I feel, then test is normal and I get bummed. Dont get me wrong normal tests are a good thing hehe

So just like I didnt get excited about the another neuro dr, and then was greatly surprised, I am going on, these tests are normal unless hear otherwise.

My right leg, wow, they put that zapping on my ankle and they have to pump it up till your toe twitches then start it reading ... and first time, they had it cranked up as strong as it gets...and the lady didnt feel toe twitch at all.... I was feeling it in ankle badly..wierd feeling.

She took it off when the lady said keep turning up and the other said..this is max. Then they repositioned it a bit, and started again, got the toe twitch and continued the testing. Makes me wonder, but nope my mind is saying tests are yet normal again. Funny how I want to be abnormal...hehe insert sarah normal jokes here!!!

hugsss all, sarah

The Oath of office was official, but to qwell any naysayers, they redid the Oath behind closed doors w/the Justice following it word for word. So, Pres Obama is and has been officially our Pres since the Innauguration.

Oh, and hello everyone!!!

well was looking at the extended forecast, man this sucks its getting chilly again 10 's for highs 0 for lows, from tomorrow night tile this time next week joy joy....

amazes me how easily we plead out winter, starts as long as it stays near freezing, its cool, warmer would be great, then its., as long as it doesn't go below 20 then the teens, the it hits the sub arctic temps and you now are willing to settle for things as long as it doesn't go below zero again

No kidding...took Sanford for a walk, and actually got sweaty under the coat...I won't feel good until I see a tree full of leaves again...then it's time for bugs and yard work...ugg...am I never satisfied?

Well, the IVSM is doing its thing, since I have a horrible headache and I've slept a whole 30 minutes so far tonight. I read on line last evening that you're supposed to take it easy the first couple of days after getting the IV...is this true?

I have had a weird emotional reaction right away this time...DH noticed it as soon as he walked in from work...I was pacing and so overwrought...he said I get "an aura" about me. Can you tell we'll be celebrating 35 yrs of wedded bliss come March? The guy can read me like a dirty book...lol

ahh Debbie sorry the IVSM ? was that the right initials..hmmm
sorry it gives a headache and lack of sleep. I imagine with it the first couple days it would be good to rest. when I do the oral pred. I get so much energy on the first few, I want to clean the house and run around crazy, I do some but try not to overdo well on meds to help calm my sxs.

anyhow, hugsssssssss hope you got some sleep!! on my way to work, hugss, sarah

oh, one bummer, with my symptoms!!! well I was suppose to go downstate this weekend. That gymnastics meet in my sisters name to raise money for cancer is this saturday!! I was going myself with two kids, or with them and my mom. My mom cancelled, since my sister cant help with dad enough if she was gone. UGGG sooo I was still going to go, but my right leg is doing wierd numbness then sciatica pain, when driving more than 20min. Been happening when driving to the hospital for my dad, then yesterday on way for my testing.

So, I dont trust the idea of me going 8 hours only driver, in case....Hate not doing things I want and love due to this crap that they cant dx...ugggggg

I was thinking of seeing about a friend going, but ran out of time I guess, or thinking it wouldnt work..who knows.

anyhow, ok let them know yesterday, and asked Mark (Madelines hubby) to get us some tshirts they are selling at it for us.

ok gotta stop thinking of it, my niece bless her heart, knows how much I want to get there, I told her about my leg. She said dont chance that Aunt Sarah..then told me to make sure I am busy saturday so not thinking of it much. She said she will call me after let me know all about it.

oh gotta get to work, hugss, sarah

Maybe they can videotape it (or parts of it) for you, Sarah.

I have the same trouble when driving....which is why I don't anymore unless it's just absolutely necessary. The grocery store is about the only place I go alone anymore. After just a few minutes of driving my right leg hurts so much and I can barely walk when I get out of the car. I cannot imagine having to drive for 8 hours! Even as a passenger I get the stiffness and have to stop and stretch frequently. I'm a terrible traveler!

Here are a few of my tricks with IVSM:
  • Rest even if you don't want to - that stuff is harsh and you need to take it easy.
  • If you can't sleep, ask for Ambien or some other rx sleep aid.
  • Get lots of potassium, it depletes it from your system and that seems to cause a lot of the problems. I drink V8 with Calcium when I am on IVSM because it has tons of potassium, too. I also eat dried apricots and eat fresh canteloupe. All of those have a lot of potassium - way more even than bananas.
