That's a beautiful snow picture! That was my promise this fall. I always start getting depressed in the late fall bc winter is coming. I decided to really concentrate on the beauty of winter this year. That has helped a little.

Oh heah. I've also rekindled my love for tea. Chai Spice is still probably my fav-but there are so many wonderful flavors-and it's a cheap thrill!
Last night I had Tangerine Orange and Cranberry Apple.

I also taught my grandson how to slice up some fresh ginger and make tea.
He loved it-and even made up his own combo. Hwe added some ginger coins to his Chai Spice tea.

Ok, now I'm off to the kitchen to make some!

Frank....you know better than to double dog dare me!!

It's going to be in the low 40's today for a high. Tomorrow and Friday it's not supposed to get out of the 30's for highs and the low teens for lows. When you see Atlanta's weather on the national news remember that I'm about 60 miles NE of Atlanta and our temps are generally about 10 degrees cooler than whatever they forecast Atlanta temps to be.

I know.....it's nothing like what ya'll are experiencing up there. On GMA this morning they actually showed motor oil that had frozen! Yikes!

This could be called 'View Outside Lor's Window'. You can't see to far. It's the warmest part of the day now---4:00. The high temp is 13*F, the wind chill is 2*F. Snow if falling right now, it has been snowing since about 9:00. Tomorrows high is supposed to be 7*

If my siggy comes up, deduct a few degrees as that is the city temp and I am on the mountain top! Snowing on the nmountain now and through the night. I think some one from the north (MN) is blowing all this brutal cold our way!

I am soooo cold. I remeber when I was in law enforcement it seemed all the roads had water main breaks, chimney fires, so many car accident on bad roads.

They actually made womens cozies long johns, lol.

I know a lot of people are feeling my pain this week ~ and DiMarie, it ain't me blowin' the cold air your way..I'm full of hot air, you would be warm and toasty ..
Well, we haven't been above zero for a couple of days. The film they've been showing on TV is in International Falls (or Duluth, they showed both), where it was cold enough to freeze diesel .
It's 10:25pm right now, the air temp's 15 below, the wind chill is 29 below. They finally decided it was cold enough to cancel school tomorrow, as the 8am temp is forcast to be 22 below. Dangerous for kids to be out waiting on a school bus (which probably wouldn't start anyway).. Kelly, a high in the 30's sounds like t-shirt weather right now..
All this stuff we're enjoying here and in the Chicago area is moving to the east, you're forwarned..On the good side, we're expecting a January thaw next week with highs in the 30's..If some of this snow melts, it may actually feel like it's in the 30's..
Stay warm, everyone. I think I'll hibernate till Friday ~ start my car a few times so I can get to work..Again, brrr!

schools are closing, bitter cold, blowing wind and Mr.Alffe is driving to Chicago on the Toll road. The problem with that is if the toll road closes...and it does at times, you are stuck on it! He's had that little adventure in the past. where there is no sense, there's no feeling. *grin
