So I am watching tv and the Dateline information tab said two septuagenarian women helping the homeless. Jim and I are like whuh? What is a septuagenarian?

The answer? A person whose age is in the seventies.

Well well, learn something new everyday.

Wow! I just learned that corn is NOT a naturally occurring plant! What we know as corn is a completely man-manipulated plant that originated in central Mexico as a grass that grew just a few kernels in each sparsely-distributed plant.

Also, NO corn on the entire planet can grow without human intervention and tending. Every plant has to begin with a fresh seed and if we stopped planting corn seeds today, the entire world would be without corn inside of 3 years.

I know, I had no idea either. I was just watching the show during dinner and it truly surprised me so I had to make sure I put it in here. I love that show!

I saw corn in IA. Then I saw some more corn. After that, they had some corn.

Come back to DeKalb. You'll see corn, and then you'll see soybeans. And after that, you might see some pigs or cows.
