I like House, CSI and Numbers. My little girl LOVES Bones and Ghost Whisperer, and I watch those with her. I've always liked the Law & Order shows, too, but in my opinion they've been going downhill lately. I really like the show 24, but it won't be back until January. I miss having the History Channel. I got rid of my satellite back when the troubles began to save money.

My little girl could live on mac n' cheese. My favorite food is spaghetti, but I like it without the meatballs. I guess I'm lucky, 'cause I've never had a taste for rich foods. I'm always at my optimum weight, so I never have to watch what I eat. My sisters hate me for that.

I like to cook, but I gotta admit I'm not the best at it. Plus I always make a mess. I do clean it up, though. See, I ain't ALL bad! My kids like my cooking, but that's because I fix things that they like to eat. You sound like you fix some fancy things? Do you enjoy that?

my name is curious...i'm a cookaholic

i LOVE to cook and bake. homey stuff..and yes the fancy stuff. i'm lucky that my family enjoys gourmet food. food from around the world. i read cookbooks like novels and come up with my own ideas.

we eat very healthy. rarely go out. one...budget...opening a new club cost mega bucks. another...my famliy would rather eat my cooking.

hehehe...i can make a mess too. i'm pretty good at watching that. i have a huge kitchen, but i have been known to wipe it out. lol

no satalite here either. *sigh* i miss all the education channels... i wasn't very happy one day when grandmonkey was watching a kid show and they showed some rather rated r promos to the movie channels.

he loves the shows on pbs. he gets to pick 1 per day. we are having a blast with hooked on phonics right now. oh...and his guitar. lol.

do your girls help cook?

My girls like to help SOMETIMES - especially if it's dessert. My little girl wants to help more, but bless her heart, she's got ten thumbs in the kitchen. That's a southern thing, you know. The "bless her heart" thing. I read once that in the south you can say anything you want about anybody, as long as you follow it with "bless their heart". As in: Bubba is the most ignorant, smelly, selfish boy in the world, bless his heart!"

You mean they'd rather eat YOUR cooking than Mickey-D's?!? How in the world do you manage THAT? My son would eat a Big Mac for dessert. You must be a superb cook, indeed.

My son has been learning guitar for about a year now. He wants to teach it to me. Shoot, I might even let him. He is getting pretty good, as long as he doesn't try to sing. Nobody in my family can sing, and that most definitely includes me. Can you sing?

lol..yes i sing. did the band thing. rock and roll. but lil'monkey..she is the singer. she has been in a few local productions and does the circuit singing at churches at christmas. we have a manger for her already. she is learning the keyboard and wants an elelctric guitar for christmas. i played wind instruments and could only play my mom's piano with my left hand. lol.

how does your son like playing the guitar? is he teaching himself? did he use any of the teaching dvd's? you should let him teach you. even just for fun. i don't have a clue on how to teach grandmonkey. he is a natural where music is concerned. he will probably teach me! lol

now darlin'...sweety...hon..... what makes you think that i might use "bless his heart"?

lmao...i have a bubba..he is 17. lol.

Yeah, he's teaching himself. He has a lot of musical talent. He played the drum in high school band, and his teacher said he was one of the best drum players he'd had in thirty years of teaching. He gets that from me. I played drums in high school, too, and so did my brother. I came in second for drummer once at a state competition, and the band came in third overall. I almost got into playing in the Army, too, but then I got a re-assignment and it fell through. I had a real interesting job in the Army, but it was classified. I could tell ya, but then I'd have to hunt you down and...well, you know the rest! I would have stayed in if some of the officers weren't such *!%&)$, bless their hearts.

I've never really had a serious hobby . I've tried a lot of things, but everything I like is too expensive or unavailable. I used to collect stereo equipment, but when I started having kids it sounded the death-knell for that. Heck, I never wanted to be a mechanic. I was very good at it, mind you, but I only did it because it was a family business.

So, what are ya gonna bake up in the kitchen tonight? Cookies?!? Yum! Yum! Can I have some???

Hi, CoolAngel!

Curious can't come out and play tonight. She has work to do.

I don't have any 'nana bread, but my mom brought me a lemon pie!

What movies are ya gonna watch this weekend?

Well hey there, Miss Monkey...

The place has been empty without ya. Shoot, the whole set of forums has been mighty slow the last couple of days.

So, have you made a million bucks yet from your sale? Find any priceless antiques in your garage? Maybe you should put it all on e-bay and make a killing. Is the yard-sale a done deal, or are you gonna do it again tomorrow?

i knew another night owl would hear my call. lol

ugh...hubby wants to have it tomorrow. not me. i'm tuckered out and feelin' the pain. but guess we will end up doing it again.

i need to do some ebay. find dout more about it. i really need to sell some of my curious george stuff. i have tons and tons of books. just lots of *stuff*. somehow all the relatives have used us as a storage place. then they tell us they don't want the stuff.

we really did well on the sale. have everything marked real low. some very very nice people came all weekend. here is alittle story about one man.

we had a men pull up who does lawn care. i kept thinking he looked familiar. he had 3 of his workers with him. he was buying them pants and shirts and atleast a dozen pair of hubby's old nike's and reeboks. then he was asking me about some of lil'monkeys dresses. like if they washed well, wrinkled...that sort of thing. one of his workers came up to me and told me they were for the man's daughter who is in a wheelchair and goes to lil'monkeys school. bingo..i know who he was!

lil'monkeys school had done a benifit bake sale to help out the famliy a few years ago when his got laid off. lost his insurance. i had him pick out whatever he thought his daughter would like. bagged it all up and wouldn't take a penny from him. he said his daughter will be so excited to have some of lil'monkeys cool clothes. ya know...pay it forward.

welll...shoot howdy...i missed y'all too! probably won't be up to par until monday or so.
