Heat never used to bother me too much.....until I had MS. The first summer after I was dx I was always hot....even with the AC set on 72. Seems each year I set it lower and lower. My family complains of being too cool. I tell them to go put on a pair of sweats.
What do you normally keep your AC set at during the summer?

72 and sometimes lower. When it reaches 76 in here then I seem to be non-functional. DW is always cold so she prepares for winter all the time.

I voted for 70, but it's usually lower. Heat absolutely drains me. I sure make the power company happy! In the winter, no heat on unless it drops into the 20s, which is unusual here.

I start at 72, I get hot and push it down, By end of day it's 68. I just can't handle heat, and if it's humid it goes down faster. If I'm in my pool in the shady part I'm cold when I come in, so back to 72, eventually 68.

Wow, you iceburg people! We keep ours at 74 and sometimes actually raise it up because it gets so cold in here. Maybe we have too good of an air conditioner! LOL The weird thing is Jim is always cold and only gets hot if outside in the sun or on humid days. On rare occasions he gets a hot flash and I crank the air down cooler but it's rare. If anything I am the one sweating thanks to menopause. LOL

I voted 76 but actually we keep it at 78. Just enough to make it a bit comfortable and not that cold. I hate when people have it set so cold.

I try to keep mine at 72 but have been known to go down to 70 and even 68 in the dog days of August.
My late DH used to love it cold....so I got accustomed to it being about 65 degrees year round inside. His mother hated the cold and whenever he'd had enough of her visits he'd go turn down the AC to about 60 degrees! ![]() ![]()

LOL I sat here for a moment and needed to *think*.
70 degrees = 21C 72 degrees = 22C 74 degrees = 23C 76 degrees = 24C I use mine sparingly even though we have like 6 months of summer here. It just costs too much to run these days. I try to have it on 24C/76F but sometimes I cheat and put it on 19C/66F when I'm really fed up with the heat and humidity. lol I put my feet in a bucket of water when I start to melt. Not a good look, but it works. ![]() |
