SSI will only kick in if you are below the federal limit (plus any state suuplements. The federal rate for SSS is $845 for an individual and $1,011 for a couple. If you are getting a VA benefir and a SSD benefit, do the two of themexceed hte federal 7 state supplement if you have one?

As for my retirement plan; the resources were too high in regards to it; so after I received the statement from my former employer stateing I can not draw off of it. I sent it in to SSI. The rest of my resources are under the limit. I figured the pension plan was the only thing holding me up; & then with the statement all would be solved. Anyways; Monday (if the weather cooperates) I'm going to my local office. I'll keep all of you up-dated. Thanks for all the replies.
