I am scheduled to have an FCE test on the 22nd. My concern is that they will find me capable of doing enough to work. My pain is not constant as in I do not have miserable pain 24/7. However, My injurys do keep me from working. I am prepared to restart my work out regiment from nearly 4 years ago to make sure I can barely walk when I go to this test. I would just like to know what to expect and what kind of "tests" I will be having to go thru.
Work experience is roofing/masonary. Highly physical demanding work. However sitting/standing provides a great deal of pain and discomfort. I find my self lying down several times a day to alleviate some of the pain in the L5-S1 area and T5-T6. Any advice or knowledge of these tests would be a great help, I have 3 years put into this SSI and dont want to loose it at the last minute. Thanks |

FCE test was recommened for my wife who has RSD. I fought tooth and nail to rid her of this test that gauges injuries not neurologocal conditions. It was very hard and I proved my case about this test. Even those who were to impose the test did not like the idea of testing her with severe RSD. It was recinded. She did receive full disability last Nov.

well. Had my testing done and got results today. They put my work as light duty. all aspects of the testing results cam in at an "occasionaly" rating at under 15lbs. So, we will see where it goes.
I just think these test really dont show much, No matter how much pain you are in you can still "physically move" They have now way to monitor pain levels to tell the real story, I wish they did! But for my SSI case I think it will still show in my favour, last time at trial it was made very clear that any "job" would have to provide my Highest average wage. Which came right around 12.50/hour. And I dont know of any jobs that meet that pay and also satisfy the rectrictions from the FCE. Hope it goes well |

This is voluntary test requisted by the back specialist, in regards to my work comp letigation. However if results are favorable, can be used in my Social Security case. I just finished up my Work comp case this evening, so if the results are non-favorable, they wont be furnished to the ALJ for SS.
