Echoes, of course it is an opinion piece. I don't believe I said otherwise. What he has listed are OBLIGATIONS. And I happen to agree with this particular scenario. The full article is is on Fedsmith should you choose to view it.

I've been watching CNN on tv and they just passed a bill in the House. It's going to the Sendate where it will be dead on arrival (the Senate has stated so).

Now it's been a long long time since I've taken history so I don't understand this at all.

They are saying 'The House has done what it was supposed to do , now it's up to the Senate"

But if everybody knows it's dead on arrival at the Senate

WHAT'S THE USE??

Someone explain this to me please?

Thanks much

IF things were functioning as designed, then when the Senate voted it down they would also come up with a real compromise bill which they would send back to the House.

IF things weren't dysfunctional, then this bill (really a compromise) would be considered & probably changed a little bit by the House, then sent back to the Senate. Most likely reasonable people would look at it & consider the whole situation & pass it and....
this would all be over.

Okay I have to tell you what my son who is 29 just said.

He thinks we should ask Apple to bail the government out.

Because they have lots of money.

I want to ask him, if he thinks he should go out and ask Apple for
a job also. He has been unemployed for about a month now.

2 son's and a husband unemployed, wish Apple would employ them.

One never knows until one tries.

Best of luck.

Thought I would give everyone a good update in my opinion.

Seems Social Security Office's are planning to pay.

Got a letter today, from them as Derrick's Rep Payee.

They are letting me know, I already knew they planned this.

That they are taking 67.00 away from his check till the
overpayment, they mistakenly made has been taken care of.

I think this is good news in light of the fact that we thought
checks might not continue soon.

This starts in September.

OOOOHHHH , Alan got a letter from SS yesterday indicating that they OVERPAID him in 2006 in the amount of $139.00 and will be deducting $3.00 from his check every month until the amount is paid.

So everybody else who gets a letter, THAT'S HOW THEY ARE GOING TO DO IT. Take money out of people's check each month. Think about doing this to Twenty million people.

Anyone else get this letter?

OMG!!

Ah, so the Senate and the House are playing PING PONG with our lives and our future.
