Default Ltd payment -angry

So we fill out a direct deposit form including a cancelled check to LTD carrier on a form that says "direct deposit to your bank". Today was suppose to be the day we got first check. So, checked bank account no deposit. Called LTD carrier and they tell us this:

"Oh we cut a check and mail it to the bank itself, we don't do direct deposit."

What a crock. So we had them change it to mail the check to us directly.

Does this make any sense? Cut a check and mail it to our bank? Then call it direct deposit.
