Default Going back to work..after being on ssdi

I am on ssdi and have been since age 62 . I just turned 65 this year. When I turn 66 next year My ssdi becomes regular social security.

If my health was to improve some time next year after my 66th birthday and I was able to work. Could I return to work and not be penalized since i will be reaching my full retirement age ..Also would I have to pay any ssdi back?
