Your last Appeal and remand was "relatively" quick, correct? Your being fast tracked due to dire need? Concentrate on your approval first! After that, when the wolves are no longer at your door, then you can decide if exposing biased ALJs is something that you wish to pursue. (Or you could focus on exposing docs that don't do adequate medical evaluations--much of the time they spend is in looking at your medical records, though. Had you had more documentation, by more credible sources, he maybe would have written his evaluation differently...)

In the meantime, expend your energy fighting your OWN battle. Learning as much as you can, everyday you're well enough to do so, will keep you busy!

Even an ALJ with a normal approval rating, might have turned you down...

SSDfacts.com has the info in the Statistics area. By state, and even by ALJ.

Heart

Just wanted to tell you Bret that I am thinking of you and you are in my prayers. I also have been fighting a long battle with illness and disability. I have not read all of this thread but just wanted to give you some support. I filed a new claim instead of trying to do all the appeals. I cannot wait a year for them to decide if they will even hear an appeal. I know I am loosing a lot of money in back pay this way but I think I have a better chance without them owing so much back pay. The country is broke. They will never pay it in my view. Maybe this is the route you should take. Just an idea to think about. I will let you know how it goes for me. I have gone to neuropsychological testing and I think the report from her is going to be helpful. She really went over the reasons for the judges denial and is explaining some of the misconceptions made from my medical records in her report. I now have major depression to add to the list of problems. Being denied disability is devastating because I really know that I cannot work and the stress of what will I do is overwhelming. I am pulling for you. Good luck brother.

Hi everyone
I've had to do some edits as per our guidelines. Members can disagree agreeably without making any sarcastic or personally negative remarks about or to each other.

We realize that emotions can run high on this kind of topic, but please do not let that spill over into personal negative remarks to other members.

Please also note that when a post is edited and others have quoted it, then their posts get edited too to remove the edited quote or references to it

thanks

thanks for the post, I wish you all the luck in the world too. I can't file a new claim at this time, that would be just what they want.

I understand. I will be taking this new claim to federal court if necessary. I have no choice. I should of been approved. I have severe problems that should not of been denied. I will be getting all the documentation necessary this time as well as letters from family/friends that have witnessed my decline and health problems. I also, like you feel that I had a bad judge who did not even read the reports that were provided. She makes alot of assumptions in her denial that are just plain wrong. I knew when I saw that I had a woman judge that I was in trouble. For some reason other women do not like me. My mom says that I look too good. I sure don't feel that way. I am hammered. However, I think you will be making things worse for yourself by trying to lodge a complaint against one of these judges. They tend to stick together and defend each other. I would advise you not to do that. Just my opinion. I can relate to your frustration. My lawyer told me to just keep trying. That I have severe enough problems that I should qualify and should of been approved long ago. Don't give up.
