Default Update on my Disability

I haven't posted in here for a while, but I did file for disability back in late April, shortly after I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Come the first of August, I get a letter saying that I have to have a mental exam done. In some of your experiences, how much more is there left to do after this to get an answer?
