If there was going to be any delays or stop payments, SS will inform you by letter.

You mentioned something about the Daily News. Please provide a link to these articles you are referring too and/or which Daily News you are getting your info from.
Hi. It was the front page of the NYC Daily News. All about soldiers' families not being given death benefits. I tried to find that on the internet but all I get is the website for the NYC Daily News. Can't find that particular photo. Maybe one of you will have better luck? And on the radio just now some reporter said that Obama has ordered that these families get the benefits. So SOMEONE is doing SOMETHING!!!!

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says the Fisher House Foundation has agreed to make the payments from its own funds. At the end of the shutdown, the Defense Department will reimburse the foundation for the costs it has incurred.
Families of fallen soldiers will get death benefits

What a sad state of affairs we currently live in.

I should clarify my meaning when I said "CHECKS". I means Direct Deposit. I don't think anyone gets a check in the mail anymore because older people were finding their checks were stolen.

I got the October direct deposit. I'm just wondering about the November one. But it seems the powers that be are TALKING so let's just hope they raise the debt ceiling or whatever needs to be done so social security is never at risk.
