Have not had the Lumbar Fusion and Laminectomy yet....My doctors have counseled me against getting the surgery done because of the high failure rates.

A laminectomy is just getting rid of the osteophytes that are growing and aggravating the nerve.

I certainly hope that things get better for you....I know how your husband feels.

No one really understands what a caregiver goes through...believe me I see what my husband goes through when I am in pain that he cannot help me with - so I feel for you.

Be strong, reaching out and asking for advice is great because contrary to the person that posted above me....most people are very understanding and are willing to share advice, experiences and recommendations with you.
