Default The "I got it bad" Thursday Rollcall

Good Afternoon fellow spiney citizens! I was going to have a little pity party thread, but might as well turn it into a rollcall. A place to come and get it off your chest, so to speak.

Every one of my symptoms are with me today making life ever so difficult!!! Shoot me now, is all I can say. Nerve pain is the worst, I think, followed by a gawd-aweful occiputal headache.

I hope some of you have a better (or at least more interesting!) day than I'm having. Take care.

Default Hi Barb

I am not sure if this is the place I need to be. I have 2 herniated disks in my neck with piched nerves all down my rt arm. My doc seems to only want to try the newest drug available. I am afraid what winter is going to bring me this year?

Anyways let me know if you think this is where I should be. My name is Dana and before the board crashed I was reading all the posts here to help educate myself. I got brave and finaly posted, then the boards crashed. Needless to say I was pretty darn bummed.

Hey Barb:

I'm sorry you're having a full blown case of "got it all going on" today! You have my sympathy for sure. I hate it when nothing seems to working right, it can get extremely depressing if it lasts to long. Hang in there, hopefully it's a short cycle.

Ponygirl:

Welcome, I've been seeing your name around the board and I still get you mixed up with Ponyboy every time. I'm sure Gene doesn't mind though! He's a good ole' boy for sure.

I'm trying to fiqure out what to call myself these days. People with Cervical and lumbar problems call themselves "clumbies" (is that right? when I type it, it doesn't look right). I've got all 3 going on, so certhorlum?
One thing that's going on that hasn't happened before is that damn sciatica. Every step is triggering the stabbing pain around to the front of my thigh, then drops down to the outside of my knee and back to the calve. Hurts like electrical zaps. I've noticed my legs have been aching so much lately, then yesterday this weird pain started, oh and my leg gave out on me 2x this morning. I had to go do some volunterr work at my daughters school, and I had to step up on a chair to read something instead of constantly bending my head back, and I thought I would die right then. My "good" knee was killing me, unbelievable! Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed. But, then, that hurts too! Can't have it all can we

Barb, I feel for you, every since my RF procedure which was botched I have had occipital neuralgia of the 3rd branch,(base of the skull) new areas of pains in the neck, but at least the pain in the shoulder down to the hand vanished.
Of course the weird part is the PM wants to redo the RF on C3/4 and include C2 nerve roots this time since that is what he paritally fried the first time...
He said it might increase the neuralgia having the second procedure, so I said NO Thanks for now, I am gunshy...........
Hope your Thursday ends on a better note!

"I got it bad" is an understatement.

Hasn't been exactly a red-letter day today. Let me collect my wits, and maybe I'll explain... right now, I gotta sit down.

Much love and

Sounds like some of you have had a day much like mine . I'm sorry and feel for you, too. Bites, huh!

I got grilled - and I hope I can say this here - by my doc about my pee times per day and whether I "go" okay. I think she was assessing for CE. Anyway, turns out, her concern is focused on diabetes. She said it's not "normal" to go twice a day. What? am I supposed to whittle it down and go once a day??? I dunno. But... more probing and trying to blank it all out as it goes on.

And... let's not forget, folks, I am still the first in line when it comes to spinal transplants. Why? Cuz I've said so .

May all of your days go much better tomorrow.

I thought diabetes symptoms were going excessively throughout the day Bobbi, not twice! If you don't drink much fluid then I don't think 2x a day is unreasonable. Are you retaining fluids? I don't know what to think about some drs. Then again, I think some really want to "fix" us and will look at every angle in hopes of finding that one thing that puts it all together. Lets hope she's not right Bobbi.

Hugs to ya, Linda
