Default Post-op update (ulnar nerve repositioning)

Hi all,

Surgery went well yesterday, the neuro said the nerve was more crushed then he expected, but was able to release the pinch and reposition the nerve to the inside of my elbow. He is hopeful it will help with pain and numbness after it heals.

Today has been painful and rough, first few days post op is always horrible, but I'm pushing through it.

Hope I will feel some relief in my hand in the near future.

The intubation went good, the anesthesiologist used an umbrella type of tube that didn't require going past my fusion, and I WAS put under before the procedure began, which was good

The only time I was ever intubated awake was because I was crashing due to an allergy and they were losing my air way. Other than that, it takes only seconds for them to push a med that knocks you out, and you wont remember a thing.

I hope all went well and you are home and comfy.
