Hi Ginnie,

First, you need to have your browser open to google. Then, either open a second browser window to NT (ready to compose a PM) or have your email open (and ready to compose a msg.)

In your browser, go to the page with the information, and highlight the URL (address) in the window at the very top of the screen. (You must highlight the entire address, which will happen with either a single or triple-click.) Copy that address (CTRL-C), go to your PM or email window and paste (CTRL-V). Check to see the entire URL has been copied. (In NT's PM, you must check in the compose/editing window. In the "Preview" or sent message, URLs are truncated.)

Repeat as many times as needed, and send the msg.

HTH,

Doc

Default Hi Cboncal

I hope you are OK tonight. I did get directions on how to post the web pages to you from Doc. I will give it try if you would like. Keep on doing some research and know that NT and me, doc and others will be in your corner, no matter what your decisions are. As a fellow back sufferer, I do have compassion for you. Doc also has back issues, so both of us can sure relate. Have a good rest this evening, and know that I care about you. ginnie

Default Hi Cboncal

PM me your private e-mail. If you will. If I can't get information to you, I will get my son over here to help. He is good on the PC. I did get directions from Doc and will give it a try.
If you have any doubt at all about this test, postpone it until you are satisfied that this is the direction you want to go in. Also ask your doctor in How many locations in your back he intends to investigate. I just don't read that much good about this test. I know you are in pain, and sometimes that drives us to do things that may not help. Seek the very best in Pain management, bring all your records with you. There is help available. Keep a pain journal, degree of pain, location, time, anything that makes it worse. Pain management doctors like it when you keep a good record of what is happening to you. ginnie

That's not a bad question to ask; I'd probably ask it myself. However, I wouldn't hold the doctor to whatever he says. I can envision that, like some procedures (e.g. surgery), the doctor may start with a plan, but have to change/expand it on the fly depending on what he finds, and where, once he starts. Some result in one location may cause him to want to pursue further probing/tries in other directions he hadn't originally anticipated, and as long as he's in there, it doesn't make sense to stop him because he wants to go beyond what he initially said.

I think the rest of what Ginnie said is excellent/spot-on.

Doc

Default Ginnie, about this information...

I think it would behoove everyone if, once you find the information on myeloscopy, you would post the information/links here publicly as well. I've had trouble finding anything definitive/useful myself, and while this test is seldom/rarely done, I can see where questions about it might come up again in this group.

Thanks,

Doc

Default OK Doc.

OK Doc. I will try and do this. I have the printed directions out. I really did dig awhile for research. I know that each verterbre is investigated with a needle and scope, so he can see on a screen what is going on. This dear woman has trouble in alot of different areas in her back, and that is what concerns me, that and the maybe lack of insurance coverage. I will get my son over to me to help with posting as well for the public. That is a good idea, since this test has not been mentioned much on our NT. Have a good day doc. I will see about doing this. ginnie

First, we're not doctors here. Second, if the doctors are doing this test because they don't know what's going on yet, I don't see how anyone here COULD answer a question like that. The doctors may not be able to either; it's way too early to tell.

To put it another way, it's like being on a journey and asking, "Do you think the bridge will be out when I get to it?" No-one can say. The bridge may be fine, or perhaps it can be repaired, or you may need to find an alternate route. Regardless, the journey is not over.

I understand wanting to be prepared for realities, but at this point, I think positive thinking makes more sense than fearing/stressing over the worst -- things that are out of your control. That never proves constructive or accomplishes anything.
