If you can describe your pain, location & symptoms along with the written report portion, it will help.

Is that your cervical spine or lumbar?

It is hard to clarify & enlarge images to see details clearly enough on the screen like this.

Hi Haynes,

MRI's format images into sagittal slices and axial slices. They are typically done twice utilizing and manipulating different factors (TR, TE, proton-weighted, fat-suppression, etc) to emphasis the appearance of different tissues. Then there are probably 30-40 individual images (varies significantly) to review and formulate an opinion. Significance of MRI findings, if any, must then be correlated with your history, subjective complaints and examination findings to be meaningful. Opinions also vary among radiologists during interpretation. So you see, throwing up one image in view of the above and asking what is wrong, is almost useless in the big picture. That said, for the one image provided, there "appears" to be a minimal posterior bulge at C5-C6 with a slightly larger bulge at C6-C7. There are also varying levels of disc dessication at multiple levels. But please understand that it means nothing because the other 95% of the picture is not included or not known so there may or may not be more significant findings on the rest of the scan or included in your clinical profile. You really need to review this with the physician who ordered it for best interpretation!

Sorry I couldn't get all my other photos of c spine. I also have t spine but only this image any clues on this one?MRI compare image-image-jpg

Hi Haynes,

It is an axial; probably lower in the thoracic spine. Please re-read my prior post. The same rules apply in that one image means nothing. Especially since there is no mention of the other two pillars of the diagnostic triad; your history/subjective complaints and clinical findings. And recommendations would be the same....take the scan and nail down your doc that ordered it!

Did you get the written report along with the MRI images?

We can help you better if you post the report & if you describe your symptoms.

The images don't really give us enough info to comment on.

Sorry,I have no report yet was handed disc but can only get these pictures up?
Symptoms are left arm numbness pins and needles and burning pain in neck and middle back. Have had these symptoms for 2 years this christmas.
