Default He's Back

Tomorrow is three weeks from my L3-4 fusion. The Dr. was right, the first two days hurt the worst. I spent 3 days in the hospital and transferred to a rehab facility for 1 1/2 weeks. I'm walking much better and I start PT on Tuesday. While I'm not running up stairs 3 at a time like I used to I am walking much better and am chomping at the bit to get clearance to do stairs so I can sleep in my own bed again.

Pain is minimal. Really only if I lay right on the scar or we drive over train tracks or something. If the wife is not around or I get up at night to pee I will either not use my walker or wear my back brace. (shhh, don't tell)

I'm on the BLT restrictions. No bending, twisting or lifting over 5 pounds. Gee there's no bending or twisting in Wheelchair fencing. (That's what it's entirely about) So it might be just a bit longer until I get back.
