Newbie with a new injury from soccer...Results of an MRI are confusing and was wondering what insight I might be able to find in this forum...Thanks
** IMPRESSION **: 1. C5-C6 moderate central canal narrowing, moderate to severe left and moderate right neural foraminal narrowing on the basis of chronic uncovertebral hypertrophy and facet hypertrophy. 2. Otherwise multilevel mild to moderate degenerative changes of the cervical spine. 3. No severe central canal or neural foraminal narrowing at any level. Specifically: C3-C4: There is concentric uncovertebral hypertrophy eccentric to the left which in conjunction with facet hypertrophy produces mild to moderate left neural foraminal narrowing, no central canal narrowing, and mild right neural foraminal narrowing. C4-C5: There is concentric uncovertebral hypertrophy eccentric to the left which in conjunction with facet hypertrophy produces no central canal narrowing and mild to moderate bilateral neural foraminal narrowing. C5-C6: There is concentric uncovertebral hypertrophy which effaces the ventral subarachnoid space, contacting the cord, flattening the ventral aspect of the cord, producing moderate central canal narrowing, moderate to severe left and moderate right neural foraminal narrowing. C6-C7: There is concentric uncovertebral hypertrophy eccentric to the right which in conjunction with facet hypertrophy produces moderate right neural foraminal narrowing, mild to moderate central canal narrowing, and mild to moderate left neural foraminal narrowing. |
