Book Tethered Spinal Cord

Hi!

I am 24 and I was born with a tethered spinal cord. I have had four major spinal surgeries to untether (throughout my life). None of them have been successful in untethering my cord because there is so much scar tissue now. I have been told I'll progressively lose function of my lower extremities. I have lost sensation in both feet and many areas of my lower legs (right more than left). I also lost my R calf and then my left. My legs are getting weaker, my back hurts a lot, and I don't want to complain all time, but it's difficult. We can't always chose what life throws at us, but we can chose how we handle it. Anyone have a tethered cord? I haven't met anyone else with it before.
