Hi, Kelly, I read your first post yesterday, and I'm not sure how to respond, meaning: I'm also a spinal patient and not a doctor. I don't know why doctors you've seen are not helping you with your pain.
What type of doctor(s) do you see and have you seen? The question I'd pose to the doctor(s)? The same as you've asked here: Is there something that can be done to help reduce your pain? I'd also ask the doc: Can you be referred to someone else for a second opinion? About why no surgery? I've no idea. Possibly, it is related to risks and the potential for complications. That, too, is something a doctor should be able to answer. Why you have arthritis? Injury or trauma can lead to it (among some) but so can time and age.
