Default Siatica after surgery

Hi.. I am 26 and had a bike accident a while ago I have had my second lumbor lamenectomy 5 weeks ago. I still have some siatica but it has reduced, my concern is that I can not bend foward to touch my toes or even my knees . I get the sharp pain down my leg and I walk with a limp because I cant straighten my bad leg out fully when taking a step.

I am wondering about anyone elses experiences or views on this??
Could the nerve still be trapped or could it be damaged and require time to heal thats what the Doc keeps telling me

Thanks Dinny

I do not think I will be of much help but I will try and answer your question as best as I can.

This sounds to me like it could be bruised and maybe swollen which could be what is stopping you from bending forward and straightening your leg out fully. This bruising and swelling will also cause pain.

I'd advise perhaps taking anti-inflammatories and talking to your doctor if it does not go better.

I hope you get better soon and good luck with it.
