I think you have a good idea about taking your daughter to counseling. Take her to someone who has a good track record with children. Your local mental health center can help you with that.

Oh I'm so glad you came back to talk to us darkside. I agree with Barbo about getting your girl some professional help because children often feel responsible for the people they love. She might take on some guilt herself for your actions.

When our Michael succeeded in killing himself, he left behind an 8 year old son...what an awful legacy to leave.

You sound like a wonderful caring Mother. Are you getting help for your depression?

It can't hurt to get your daughter into counciling.

She's obviously worried about you and loves you very much. Just tell her you love her, give her lots of hugs, and tell her that you won't try ro hurt yourself again.

Dear Darkside

While i dont dismiss counselling for your child. 6 Years old is very young age to have to understand the meaning of Suicide, or strangers telling you stories by way of explaining painfulf events.

from some one just looking in.....I believe the remorse you feel now is counselling enough for your child. Your remorese has i can bet [been there] made you cherish your child more and want to so desperately survive this life naturaly so as to forfill your destiny as a mother.

a warm embrace, a long fuzy cuddle...oodles of love and kissess from a mother to her daughter are by far the best counselling available to you both.

And its free......

My dear lady you will get past this terrible time in your life... the healing has already begun.....and your child..will also survive this event
WHY=BECAUSE MUMMY LOVES HER, AND IS RIGHT THERE.

David

Default Getting help

I do hope that you can find some good counselling for you and your child.

I have lost two of my best friends to suicide, one 11 years ago, and one four months ago. Counselling helped me through some of these horrible and sad times.

You are important, to your family, to your friends and to the world. Stay strong and know that people will help and support you.

Good for you for posting this and I truly hope that you find the sense of peace that helps you in your journey.

I'm still worried about you darkside. Are you o.k.? I know you feel bad about your family, but if your not well, there going to feel it. There going to be walking on eggshells wondering if your happy. You should get yourself and your daughter into counseling. I hope to hear, I am so happy, I had such a good day.
