Default What's on your plate????

I'm looking for the iron, and if I remember how to use it, will work on a blouse to wear up to Clearwater lake...going to visit an old friend from my childhood. Our oldest daughter loves to iron...I don't know who she learned it from, where are you when I need you Jill.

Cassie doesn't know that she's going up to the kennel for the day...

Also getting excited to see our grandaughter repeat her wedding vows at a reception for them Sat...I don't need the iron for that outfit..it's kinda like wearing a long towel. It will be fun to be with our family, always will wish that included our Michael.

A funeral home down the street from us was pleased to get the suicide brochures yesterday..said they have people asking them about groups!
So I will be going to others....and two drs. offices took them. Mr.Alffe dropped some off at Mikes...ty.

What's on your plate???

Alffie that sounds great about the brochures - awareness is the first step to prevention!

I am finally getting my life back after a crazy, crazy hectic year doing a full time job, full time school, and full time internship! It is finally done now but slowly weaning myself away from it all because it's not going to be a clean cut goodbye. We're also having work issues where 6 people were laid off last week, so work is not a happy place to be, lots of depressed faces.

Am also very worried and anxious most of the time, I guess that is all about getiting to used to so many changes! I've been studying (need to do more of that later) for a standardized test at the end of the month so that i can apply to school again in the fall, because now that i am done - I just want more.

hmmm what else is going on? tonight i have a late night ahead, we have weekly meetings until 10-11pm so i shouldn't be home till late. I have a few lunch dates and dinner dates with friends tomorrow and friday. And sunday we are hoping to check out the national state park that is so close to me but I've never been before!

Also trying to plan some vacations now that I have more free time - thinking about New Orleans &/or Key West... we'll see!

Thumbs up

First, I have to say its always appreciated by me when we have a "plate" thread...

Alffeee, I'm excited to hear your plans and also about your great accomplishment in visiting the Funeral home(s) and Doc's offices! I know this should be in the wonder thread but here it is anyway - recently you mentioned you were going to reach out to your Grandson again... it has been on my mind a lot... and I wonder how you are feeling...

wish... I want to thank you for coming back to our forum... it has been an amazing learning opportunity for me to witness your growth!!!
Anxiety sure sucks... I sincerely commiserate with you ... and at the same time, I'm extremely grateful that I have not felt that stomach churning since my financial situation improved (one less stressor!)! That's not to say that I haven't felt severely depressed and all that goes along with that... what's different for me now is that I recognize the downward spiral much quicker... and I pull on all my resources... and POP, out I shoot into the next of life's adventures...

On my plate was to catch up on things here and on Facebook. I think I'll write on the wonder thread after I read Doody's update on her daughter.

This is what I hope to achieve over the last 5 days of my vacation (~on my plate waiting to be bitten, chewed and swallowed~):
  • Apply for a passport
  • Put together the Ikea bookshelf - already got one done - just need to do the other!
  • CLEAN my kitchen, bathroom, blah, blah, blah...
  • Swim every day
  • Shop for a new tv and laptop!
  • Have Grand-Addy and her mommy over for a sleepover - fun at the ocean and the pool!

Addy

Oh Addy...a sleep over! I wish you all could have experienced what I did yesterday when we visited an old childhood friend of mine up at a small lake in Michigan. Her husband's family has had this cottage in their family for 60 years and the various families (he is one of 10 children) take turns using it in the summer. It was wall to wall beds upstairs! 7 adults and 11 grandkids and no airconditioning and they were all having the best time!
I didn't know in this age of entitlement, this kind of sharing still happens.
And it had poured down all morning so they had the board games out!! Monopoly! and beads and.....???

We went into town for lunch and they admited to being happy for a little quiet talk....On the drive back home...I grinned all the way.

Default Plate

I'm going with you to Greenwood. IN and a wonderful wedding - actually a renewal of vows and a reception. A great excuse to put on the glad rags and act like girls!
