lol lol --- what's on my plate? A bowlful of watermelon and Peaches is gobbling it. She just found something she likes more than black olives.
What a cat!

Why not google the question about how long canned goods keep. My sister encouraged me to google about some health concerns - now I'm a google nut - use it relentlessly!

LOL i did just that Barbo..... i got answers from 1 year to 10 years LOLOLOL..... I decided anything over 3 or 4 years should go and some of it was canned in 1987 VERY gross. Poor Scott got sick and lost his cookies at one point. LOL That was when i decided to bring the stuff home an dump it down my garbage disposal.

Cleaned out the fridge and threw out some food...after reading about Goofy... Also listened to the radio, Diane Reim (sp?) interviewing Alice Laplant about her new book Turn of Mind. http://petronatwo.wordpress.com/2011...lice-laplante/
My stack of "to reads" continues to grow...still loving Waltzing Australia... Had a nice phone call from Bizi and started to pack for ny. Cassie is having a hissie fit over the wild turkeys across the street....I don't blame her. I'm hoping the sun comes out and dries it off enough to cut the grass this afternoon.

LOL trust me there was more than a little "give" on most of what i got rid of..... made me so sad..... REALLY made me miss my mom..... BUT what else was i to do with that stuff??? LOL I'm not exaggerating...... there were gooseberries that were canned when i was a little girl..... i almost kept that one. it had that old rubber seal with the little handle thingy on it.... LOL... anyway i still have more to get rid of.... i think the only thing that is still good are last years tomatoes....
