Today is the day..... In a couple hours i'll be standing in front of a group of 9th grade girls, talking about my experiences with self injury..... very excited VERY nervous

I have no words to express what i'm feeling right now.... talking to those 9th graders was an experience i'll NEVER forget... i was told it was going to be just the girls but it was the whole 9th grade class.....
We laughed, and we cried..... it was amazing.... I am exhausted but feel Jimi (my psychologist) and I truly made a difference in some lives today......

Wow Goofy - bless you heart, bless your work, bless your bravery.
That's just super. I wish you were around to help me - teach me, give me advice. I was just asked to speak at the annual candle light meeting of A.L.I.V.E. (Alternatives to Living In Violent Environments) which will be held in a room in the county court house, attended by county and city officials and lots of city and county police. I said "no", I'm not brave and strong enough to speak in public. (just writing this "in public" is almost impossible. Oh, I'll be there. I went last year - just going was difficult and incredible.

Goofy I am so impressed and happy this went well...can hardly imagine how difficult it must have been, but you did it!!!!
