Lol the cat doesn't actually live here he just wants to when his humans leave him outside. He follows me to my door and tries to walk in when I open it. But I don't think think my neighbors would appreciate me stealing their cat.

And about Addy's wonder about me over in the wonder thread, I figured I'd answer it here so I don't have to wonder. There were some pretty bad months leading up to my moms death, by the time she actually died I was already pretty well adjusted to the reality that it was going to happen.

I'm still doing all right (for me), I've been feeling kind of... strange... I can't really explain it. I don't know if it's a good or bad feeling it's just... different. (I guess that means it must be good? )

Lonely1, my fatherinlaw "stole" his neighbors cat because Charlie (that's what he named it) insisted that he move in, take over, and be THE CAT. Everyone eventually adjusted to it, kind of shared him but Charlie's person of choice was my fil. I still laugh at some of the memories of those two.

Been a very long time since I thought that. You take care of you.

When I lived in the country people dumped their animals they did not want or could not afford. The animals would start to walk by my house but my animals would stop them and invite them to stay. One cat walked up while my two big dogs (aeredale & border collie) were eating. He nosed in and began eating from their dishes. Dogs get chosen but cats choose us. If a cat chooses you you may consider it a complement on your character, lonely 1.

My cat belonged to my son who had no time for him. I would go over and he would run up to me begging for attention, love, anything to stop the boredom of being alone. He adoped me and I asked to bring him home. I didn't know if he would bond with me, but he did, and now I have a big strong healthy cat instead of the kitten I thought I wanted. I did the right thing in bringing this lonely cat home, and he knows it. He eased me out of the grief I felt after loosing my scruffy of 21 years. Animals sure do help a person even in depression. ginnie
