Default Wonder Thread 269

I wonder if I can start the next wonder thread.

I wonder that I like wonder threads because they let me voice all the random little thoughts swirling around in my brain.

I wonder that I didn't make any streetlights turn off on the way home tonight.

I wonder about bullies. Bullies always steered clear of me, which is weird 'cause I was (and still am I guess) the skinny, quiet, loner type.

I wonder if it's because they knew I'd fight back... or maybe I just send out a vibe that makes people want to avoid me.

I wonder about music and how it's one of the few things that can calm my erratic mind. Music and hugs... except there are no hugs... so just music then.

I wonder if I can post this song... because that's apparently what I do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbzkaznpZD0

I wonder if I can suggest Alffe to get to a local farm store (even most Walmarts) to buy some crushed corn.... plain old field corn. When the turkeys are away sprinkle the ground with corn ..... lots of turkeys will be back a couple of times a day, every day.

I wonder what number we'd really be at if we had continued numbering the wondering threads from the "old forum" days..... any guesses?

I wonder if lonely1 even knows that the original forum started in the early '90's... some of us have been around a long, long time...supporting, learning and growing and keeping close with our friends

I often wonder, if I lived real close, would Alffee have me over for supper, a glass of wine and a hot tub?

I wonder if anyone else is watching The Bachelor? ... or Revenge? I'm LOVING Revenge!

I wonder if Alffe and Wren know they brought back the memory I used to have wild turkeys in my back yard when I lived on a mountain in the Kootenays. I never thought to feed them but I think they did quite well with all the gardens and composts in their path. I enjoyed taking their pictures, especially when one of my cats decided to get up close to them.

I wonder if I ever talked about the fact that, as a child, I was painfully thin... and was teased/bullied because of it. Weird how that was. I used to wish I was fat and my wish came true... lol.... ok... not exactly the way to stop the bullying...

I wonder how uplifting it feels... yesterday I shred a lot of paper.

I wonder if Addy knows that I used to be thin ... I could not hit 100 lb in the neuro's office no matter how many bananas I on the way, what layers of clothes I wore, how much change in my shoes, how much water I drank.
I wonder how I gained all this weight.
I wonder if lonely1 knows I've been using this form since the late 90s.
I wonder about being lonely. I thought I would be alone when I walked out of a marriage ... I didn't know it would be this alone.

I wonder...

So great to see you lou_lou. I often wonder about you when you're absent a long time. I worry actually. I hope you are OK there.

Addy mentioned watching the Shark Tank. Now I can imagine that's either a freaky reality show or it's a Think-Tank of Politicians. The other one was The Gift. I imagine that's the movie that I know or it's a show about people who have "gifts". We have this show here called The One. I find it annoying because I've known many more clairvoyant people in my lifetime than the ones on that show.

Loved the photos thank you Wren. Wild Turkeys or Scrub Turkeys as they're called here often arrive in the yard or even on the roof. Only problem with them in high temperatures is that their mounds can catch on fire spontaneously.

Music. Love music. I could tell a tale or two about bands I saw live in my time but I'm older now so I figure it's not as cool. Music plays a very big part in my daily life.

My son was bullied because he was so clever. His classmates couldn't deal with that because he wasn't the sort of child to worry about what brand of shoes he wore and that he wasn't as athletic as they were. Bullying comes in all shapes and sizes and it's all BAD.

Huge electrical thunderstorms here this afternoon. It's been so hot and the humidity so high that it was obvious the sky would burst. Went on for hours and still going on in the distance. Just went outside and what a light show! My neighbour was hiding in her house with her cat and dog with blinds drawn and I was out on veranda with MY cat enjoying the cool air and watching the sky change. So cool in fact that I kept checking the temp. of the rain drops in case it was about to hail as was expected. Lots of trouble locally but all safe and sound here.

Watched this show earlier about indigenous people from Alaska who have been stopped from fishing their usual amount of salmon for various reasons. Not wanting to get political here... So, they have noticed that since the quotas came in that their people are suffering from much more Thyroid disease.

Alone and lonely - how different those words are to me. Not sure exactly how lonely feels. Was made to be fiercely independent from such a tiny age that I just never learned to be lonely I guess?

I wonder if wren knows that I admire them from afar....up close they scare me...they are getting too "tame" and when they stroll down our concrete drive acting like they own it...

I wonder if Addy knows that of course we'd be in the hot tub if she lived closer...wren too if I could get her to come.

I wonder if anyone remembers when we used to kid about having a slumber party in the barn...Sue, Pters daughter promised to move out of her basement and into our barn. And the tree house...and the bases. ~sigh

Lara and I were posting at the same time....waves at Lara. *grin
