Loved IU's win last night over Michigan...tried to see some family in that crowd but failed. Great game!

I am so enjoying the new recipes on Pinterest and so is Mr.Alffe but we are both gaining weight from all the cooking I am doing..going south for a bit and hope to walk some of it off.

Awful weather last night...hope all of you are safe today.

Mr.Alffe gets his follow up psa bloodwork today but we won't have the results until the 14th. Please send us positive thoughts for a good outcome.

I'll spend the day doing laundry...got my washer repaired yesterday and can now play "catch up".

And I want to say thank you all for the great support you are for kell...I pray she listens and learns. Hugs for the room...this means YOU.

My plate included wondering about the date for the test for Mr. Alffe, so thank you for the reminder. Still praying...and anxious to hear the results as well. Otherwise, my plate is too full and just don't wanna talk about it! *stamps my foot.

Have a meatloaf in the oven, made cookies for the trashman and am going outside to work on some more bushes. Cassie is under the weather and we are assuming it's from getting another shot for her lymes...at least I hope that's what it is. ~sigh

And today I received the book Doody suggested - Self-Compassion by Kristin Neff. I'll start reading it when the fiction I'm reading, Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult, is finished.
We've had crashing thunder and rain all afternoon .... great for a nap.

My mouth is watering too. It's just too bad I don't cook. I went on strike...long ago. LOL. I envy folks who love to cook and DO cook.

But it's just me here. If I baked...I'd have to eat it all. it's hard cooking for just 1 person.

Had a nice lunch with Barbo and friend. Returned the hummingbird feeder which leaked sticky red liquid all over my porch, hosed down porch and hung up another new humminbird feeder.

Now that the trashman, cookies in hand emptied all my barrels, I can proceed to fill them again! Also burning some sorta dry leaves and hoping the neighbors aren't hating me. Pam's cactus "got" me good, she must be up there grinning.

Sorry Purdue lost...such a close game! Can't wait for Thursday night...Kentucky vs Indiana....gonna watch ducky?

Got to get back out there stir my barrel...Addy I hope you are having a whole bunch of fun with your sister!!!

My sister has come and gone... we had 10 wonderful days together. Need I say more... I'm a happy sister

I have yet to get that book recommended by our dear Doody-sis. I was in Chapters the other day... and couldn't remember the title (which I have written down!!)... maybe I will buy it today.

I have been living very frugally and am finally working enough to save a bit... I plan to continue living this way as its very satisfying to save money. That said, its very satisfying to spend it, too...
