After one week in the mental hospital and then three more with her parents my roommate is back. I have pulled away from our friendship for my own sake- I just don't trust her.

I'm going to focus on me and if she can't handle it than I am moving. I am not going out of my way to make her happy.

I am my own person and am only responsible for me and my happiness -and that's how its going to be.

Good for you. What is it 'they' say? Put on your own oxygen mask first or you won't be able to help others? Something like that. Yes, you've been through the wringer as well and need to make sure you stay healthy! Good on you!

She is consumed with her new friends from the mental hospital. She visits them in the hospital, calls them, Facebooks, and is now going to have them over in our house.

I'm bothered by this. I don't want to meet them and I don't want them to know where I live.

My friend is gone and I will never see her again. I workin on moving on. This is not the person I choose to live with and trust with my friendship.

I think I'm grieving the loss of my friendship.

You're maybe grieving the changes in your friend, rather than the loss.

She's made bonds recently with people in the hospital and that is probably not that unusual when one thinks about it. <sigh> They're all dealing with pain of some type and although it makes you uncomfortable, it's maybe that sign at last to move on for your own sake.

It was time to move ages ago by the sound of it. I'm only saying that because I've followed all your posts from the beginning and this is what I would do. It's what I would advise my daughter to do in the same situation as well.

I know you have some health problems of your own and that's the worry. I hope you have some help and support if you do indeed choose to move. I'd help you move if I could but I am way away in the southern hemisphere. Please keep updating here as you have been lately.

I'm just glad you've continued to update us, because we do care.

I'm trying to find resorces to move - low income. I just hate being around her and her victom personality. I have bad dreams about her flipping out and I end up homeless.

This all sucks so bad and is not what I need to continue to recover.

I don't have any wonderful words of wisdom but wanted to send you a hug. I hope you get it sorted soon, before it starts to wear you down. Is there any chance you can move back with your parents? Please forgive me if you've already mentioned this and I missed it.
