Another obituary, another young man with no listed cause of death...another grieving family. You read it and you know...no listed cause of death, no contributions may be made to....but you know, from what isn't written..you know.
Where's the reason in omitting it? Why the shame, why the continued stigma? It is no less horrific in giving it a name!! Oh yeah...I remember now...it's the guilt thing. And the "maybe it won't have happened at all if we don't acknowledge it" thing. And so we wait...hoping they will reach out for help..hoping they will talk about his death to someone...to anyone.

![]() obits look like that when drunk driving is involved too. ![]() you are so right alffe, but maybe they just don't know where to turn yet? we can hope that someday just one obit will have a support group to send donations to.
