Today I made Snickers Bar Cookies (not Snickerdoodles) and a pan of Caramel Chocolate Oatmeal Bars.
Baking like I do is just crazy (I first wrote "just nuts" :p)
:( And in a baking site I visit someone just asked me to please post photos of all the things I say I bake :(

I is here! I have been to busy to even lurk very often. I have been through some very happy and also some very sad times. With all the cookie talk that's been going on I had to get up and get my Oreo's and crack them open. Wish I had some ice cream so I could swirl up a shake. I will have to catch up soon. I have a very bad habit of hanging out on FB. Ya know, I can't talk about any of my challenges on FB even when I'm having a bad day. You guys just...well...listen! Love you all....and of course a big hug for all!

I've just been asked to provide 6 dozen cookies next sunday night and 6 dozen cookies next monday night for the kids soriority. LOLOL its dead week, the week before finals and all the girls are required to study at the house for a certain amount of hours per week. so the parents provide snacks :) i know you've posted that snickers cookies recipe somewhere Wren, i gotta go find it. I think the girls would love it. :)

Hi Goofy --- here's that recipe.

SNICKERS BAR COOKIES
350* - ungreased - 12-14 min - 4 Doz. cookies
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 brown sugar
2 stick butter softened
2 beaten eggs
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour
*14 oz bag of mini Snickers Candy bars, Butterfinger,
Milky Way, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, anything you like
Instructions say to cut candy bars in half. I use whole
Mix everything as usual. Form into balls.
Make certain the dough "seals" in the candy bar
and forms a little ball. I sprinkle each ball with a
tiny amount of cocoa, confectioners sugar,
finely chopped peanuts, whatever I want.
Bake at 350* on ungreased sheet 12-14
minutes or until a light golden brown.

Dang dieting...I can smell those cookies!! Glorious first of May here...going out to rake, burn, sweep....had our first Baltimore Oriole this morning...yesterday we had a rosebreasted grosbeak...no hummers yet...sticks tongue out at wren....:p :hug:

Oh I am so sorry!! It was 82 here today and I have blisters from raking. :grouphug:

ugh! what rotten weather.
Right now - 4 PM - it's 82* but it's supposed to crash tonight. I don't expect snow but I will have to turn off the a/c and turn on the furnace.
