Sam
I did send you a PM when you first joined, to let you know about our other community at PsychCentral, where you may find a lot more info on the psychiatric medications you were given, along with ECT and also the self injury etc. You may just find it beneficial to post there as well as here (You will need to register there as well)
here is the link again http://forums.psychcentral.com/

I do want to mention that my son had horrible reactions to SSRIs and zyprexa, but after careful and lengthy withdrawal from those meds (under doctor supervision!!) he got much better, so please know there is hope!

Default Hi samantha

Self harming is a form of psychosis. Can you tell me what medication you are taking? Depression can and does get worse with certain drugs and certain individuals. I would like to see what I can find out for you. ginnie

Smile Some psych meds have harmed health

Hi, can relate somewhat. I think that things may move in a different direction eventually, with the conflict between medicines and other modes of treatment that do not aggravate or cause other conditions. In the meantime, all the best!

I had a horrible reaction to it overnight literally I had a rush up the back of my head, I felt a coldness over my brain where it melted my brain, my gums were bleeding and my heart was racing so fast. After this happened I could no longer see tomorrow, my emotions disappeared, my appetite went, I no longer enjoy doing things I used to love doing I have become basically a cabbage. I have tried to kill myself but failed I have no quality of life at all I have lost my children and business because of it. I just want to know if there is anyone out there who is still alive and may have been thru a similar experience that managed to get back their emotions and actually feel human again because I certainly do not and i still want to kill myself.

Smile medication can harm some

sorry to hear that, Sam. I personally can relate, with some of my meds, and know many who can. I wish they could do better with some of these meds, others included, and how different folks react. I do think there will soon be a glut of research, prob driven by several agendas, and I hope some good comes out of it!!!

God has been cruel to me and my family and he hasn't given up on destroying me because I am only 42 and my life has been cut totally short.
