I feel soooo bad for you girl!!!
If i lived closer i would def come and help you!!

I also slept in my recliner{thank goodness i had one}!
I got myself all set up as best i could, then stayed in it basically!
Pillows are GREAT!
I had one for my tummy when i coughed. You do tend to cough alot after surgery....Please be sure and drink pleanty of water to flush the meds through..I remember all too well what it was like for me 10 yrs ago.
I know you have a much larger incision than i did though...
Take care and take it ez on yourself..Don't try and push this recovery, you will only hurt yourself!
Your on my mind lady

Oh you poor bay!!! They were able to get mine out through the belly button incision with some difficulty, but they did it.

You got the big ole fashion way! Yes it does hurt! Thankfully, my daughter stayed with me for 3 days and was able to help me get up. Getting up is SO difficult, even just rolling over to your side or on your back is difficult.

So I think that recliner idea for now is an excellent one. It's too bad we aren't nearer. You'd have us all showing up to help!!!!

I've often wished all my internet friends lived in one big village so we could all see each other. You take care and try to stay on top of the pain. They told me to take at least the minimum amount of pain pills regularly, which I did. Mine were just hydrocodone, but I took them regularly every 4 hours and it helped me sleep a lot.

Hugs.

Me too.

I'm just so miserable right now. I'm so afraid to move and can't get on top of the pain. This is the first I've been able to get up since this AM. Every time I move I get nauseous and the pain is terrible.

These hospitals think that you can understand what they're saying. You're in there and on morphine and they tell you all these things to do and I can't remember a darn thing they said except don't miss a dose which I've done because I couldn't get to it.

Back to my recliner and my trusty pillow.

I've said a little prayer for you and your health. My gb was removed the 'old way' and I know what you're talking about. I'm worried about you.

Dear Girlie,
I am so sorry aobut this....
Please try to get some nourishment if you can...the pain meds can make you nauseated if you don't eat something with them.
Yes and taking your pain meds every 4 hours is the way to try to stay up on top of the pain.
I wish you did not have to go through this alone....
(((((HUGS)))))
