Default Just stopping by...

I came here lurking the other day and promised a very special someone I would be back, with an update. I hope that my longtime friends that are here are doing well. I haven't read the new posts yet, but some of the titles have me wondering?? ((((curious)))) ((((goofy)))) ((((just in case someone else needs one, an extra hug))))

So I have been working with the college I graduated from last month, with a program they have Downtown in the inner-city. The center I work at has a daycare for cocaine-exposed children and I work on the research part of the building. I conduct assessments on each child when their birthday comes to make sure they are or are not delayed cognitively or physically, etc. I really enjoy this job, my first "full-time" job. So I am trying to save up to get out on my own and get an apartment (hopefully by the end of summer or early fall). I am learning to juggle time better since I have trouble doing anything after work since I am so tired. I have a long hour to two hour commute, depending on the traffic. I have been busy.

I think of you all often. I worry and wonder how some of you are doing. I wonder about those of you with health problems and difficult issues in your lives. I also wonder about those of you who are my friends or those of you I don't even know. Sometimes I find it difficult to post here at neurotalk, even though so many of you I have known for years and years... because some of you I have never met. And there is always that worry about not fitting in. And I guess I just can't be a reliable poster anymore since I don't have enough time to even come on the computer anymore.

So I wish I knew all the updates on you all, so before I whine some more... I will be off lurking. JUst wanted to let you all know I was here and am doing well. I finally feel like an adult now! And can you believe some of you I met when I was a wee pre-teen way back when (Alffe)? Oh how the world changes, lol!

Oh and just wanted to say Lucy is doing great and healthy too now. What a scare with her kidney failure. I am still trying to figure out legal issues with her, I posted it all at the pet thread, if your interested in all that.

Wish, I read Lucys' blog....so glad that Moose gave you that push!

You don't mind if I say how proud I am for all you have accomplished?! And yes, I remember very well the young girl who came into that old forum. Pter used to email me having fits about how "a suicide chatroom is no place for a young girl to be". LOL....I know that he is also somewhere being very proud of you too.

Please stay in touch...even if it's only occasionally. You remain in my thoughts and of course in my heart. Love, Alffe

So glad to hear from everybody... Spanish Moss tell Mr.Moi hi for me (I like his new name lol).

I wonder where scrabble is (been a loooong time)

I have had a constant headache tonight with these dogs. I love them but I swear they drive me crazy sometimes. Charley has not stopped barking at the neighbors lawn service people and Lucy has not stopped barking at Charley. And I have been trying everything to make them stop and it hasn't worked.

I have to remind myself that I love them lol at times like these.

Especially when I have to cook charley his 2 hour gourmet rice and chicken dinner!

Sooo.. I guess I'll go lurk some more.

Hi! We don't know each other but it is nice to meet you. Who is this scrabble person? I need to talk to them because I just love the game scrabble. I had just joined a scrabble club today and hope to go to my 1st scrabble meet next month.

Glad to know you are doing good.

Hi befuddled, nice to meet you too. Scrabble posts every now and then. We go wayyyy back and she is such a great friend. I hope you get to know her sometime soon. Some of the members used to play online scrabble together (I wasn't very good), but that's an idea too for you. If you look online you might find a good place and then it's done through e-mail and welll... the games take a really long time since each time you long into your email is one move.

I haven't seen Scrabble around yet wish, but when I do, I'll point her out to "your thread" in case she doesn't see it.

Befuddled yes, look for someone to play online scrabble with... I used to play with Mr. Moi... and a few others... but they kept beating me ... I sucked... LOL
